O-M-G!!! I have been on plenty of blind dates before...I'll just tell you about the most recent one though..I had met some guys at the beach over the summer. I would *never* think about dating any of them...we were all too good of friends....well, we got back home from the beach, and one of the guys from the beach called me and said that he wanted me to meet one of his friends. Well, a couple days later, his friend called me. We talked on the phone and he was such a nice person. So we decided to meet up at the local bowling alley. We had an awesome time bowling, and he was teaching me how to give the ball some "magic spin" as he called it. After our game of bowling, we went to waffle-house and began to talk. He started off the conversation by saying, "I really like you, you have something that I've always looked for....and I'm going to go ahead and tell you now, I'm a little bit ole fashioned..I'm going to open doors for you, I'm gonna pay for you, and dont be surprised if flowers start showing up at your house and in your car." We dated for about 2 months, then he had to move to another country. It really sucked that he had to move, but we are still great friends today.

been there - tried that - would never do it again.

I did it three times - 2 off the internet and 1 through a mate.

My mate got a hefty slap for setting me up with such a drip. 1 of the internet guys was a complete stalker and drove me mad - changed jobs and mobile number in 1 week to get shot of him. The other internet guy was sweet enough but was then only interested in one thing.

I met my current b'friend - in the pub, through friends and we have been together 3 years - all cos he made me laugh from the very first thing he said to me.!

You never know what to expect but it's likely to be scary!

Why have a blind date if you've got nothing to hide about the way you look?

Yes, but nothing happened. The first one, when he found out that my sister was his former schoolmate, he backed out, He's too shy to court me although he's a scientist. I don;t understand but I did not ask him why. I am not the kind of person who kept on asking "why".
The next one, I was not that serious bacause my chaperons were only after the free food at that time.

yes i have had blind dates that friends have set up for me...and i hate that.....one turned out OK, he was pleasant and kind, but not my type...another was a disaster, he was arrogant, kept eyeing the girls up while we were out, constantly on his mobile phone for ages, talked about himself throughout the date and banged on about his ex and how much of a **** she was, he was a right tosser...then he tried to make a move on me when he dropped me off...and i don't mean a kiss either, personally i think blind dates are OK if it were for someone else....for me...nah!

Once. Only once. She was the most bizarre woman I have ever met. My straight friends thought we would get along since she was a body builder. It was the longest night of my life. My advice if you get asked to do this: run.

blind dates are rough you can get stuck with someone that you do not have one thing in common with and it can make for a long horrible evening.
