Why are you called believers and not knowers?

I've been trying to seek God for a long time, I'm to trying, but to little avail.

Why are you so fervent about believing (whichever God you believe in) & if it's so true, how come God hasn't appeared in my face to tell me he's there or the rest of the non-believers for that matter.

I want to know for certain.
(non believers please don't answer)

I believe. I have seen too much. I have seen, but the true believers are those who have not seen, yet still believe.

Let go. Let God. He is there and he loves you.

Religion is largely based on faith. Yeah Yeah people say seeing is believing. God is real you just have to believe in him and have faith in him. God works in peoples lives everyday. Everytime I see a rainbow I think of God because it was his promise to never flood the earth again. Non-believers done believe because they dont have faith in something they cant see. What do you mean by you have been trying to seek God for a long time but to no avail? Finding God means first believing in him and having faith then you must accept Jesus Christ and let him to you heart. Only people who do those things will have an everlasting life in heaven. To believe in God and walk with God (spiritually) is to know him. So you could say that believers are knowers.

My heart goes out to you - you are trying to find the Truth and listen - Truth is a Person, Jesus Christ. It is not about religion or tradition - it is about relationship and Jesus wants a real relationship with you. If you earnestly seek Him, you will find Him - He is waiting to hear from you.

You must "confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart and God raised Him from the dead" - believing that He is the Son of God and that He lives today - asking His forgiveness - and He will save you - give you Eternal LIfe and Heaven - without a shadow of a doubt.

Also believe that "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that he was buried and that he rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures." You will recieve the Holy Spirit when you do this and your spiritual eyes will be opened.

Listen - you can have abundant life on this earth as well as when you get to Heaven. Trust in Jesus and Him alone - not religion. Start reading in the book of John in the Holy Bible - maybe New American Standard Bible - which is easier to understand and the Scriptures will be revealed to you. Blessings and lots of love to you as you seek Him - He is waiting to hear from you little one.

Many think that knowing about God and the payment Jesus made for our sin makes them a Christian. That would make them a "knower" It would not establish a relationship with God. Read the link below to see the difference.

I'm gonna pray for you. Dear Lord I lift her up to you this morning because she is seeking something to fill her emptiness . I know that without faith it is impossible to please you. But God please help her unbelief as you did for the man in the Bible with the sick child. Allow her to know you in an intimate way. If she has not giving her life to you God just come into her heart as she ask you for forgivness and as she confesses with her mouth that Jesus was crucified on the cross and that he was raised from the dead. Father allow your Holy Spirit to touch her right now as she is reading this from the crown of her head to the soles of her feet. Let your annonting break and destroy every yoke and everything that may hinder her from knowing the truth. For your word declares that Jesus is the way the truth and the life. Father Let her feel your presence like never before. Father you said that if we seek, that we will find, to knock and it shall be opened. Father I ask you to oper you loving arms and allow her to fell your love, peace and presence. Father she says that she's been seeking you for a long time, but she doesn't realize that you have always been there because your word say that you will never leave us or forsake us, and I know that your word is true because your not a man that you should lie and your word will not return unto you void. Help her to realize that you are everywhere, that she can go nothing without you, but she can do all things through Christ that strenthens her. Your word also says that greater is he that is in me than he that is in this world. So Father I just plead your blood upon her to keep her safe from any hurt, harm or danger. Lord keep her mind safe from the hands of the enemy. Lord help her to keep her mind on you. You said that if we keep our mind on you, that you will keep us at perfect peace. And Lord I ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ Amen

no one knows who or what God is exactly ... so no one can call themself knowers
if we think about what God " may be " it may help us understand why
if there is a creator then this would certainly be a more enlightened being
he would possibly be energy and not able to take a physical form

if i may give you an example of why i believe that you will never see or hear God directly

i speak with spirit , and spirit are just one step ahead of us in their path
yet even spirit have a difficult enough time contacting us
there are spirit guides and they are a few steps ahead of us ... and it is rare that even trained mediums can have a constant communication with their guide
there are more enlightened beings such as " Silver Birch " who is regarded as one of the more famous spirit teachers
and Silver Birch has to use another in spirit to pass on messages as he cannot himself communicate directly
if spirit who are not so far removed from us have such problems
how can God come close to us in the same way

i understand this may not be your beliefs and much of what i have said will sound nonsense to you
but i am merely trying to give reason why i feel God will never have that face to face with us

There is but one God and his son Jesus Christ died for your sins and mine. Look at the other religions that claim another deity, they are full of violence and trangression. They may say otherwise but it does not take a scholar to see it. There are misguided people who claim christianity as well. You dont have to seek god or look for his face or for some extraordinary miracle to know he is there. He knew you before you ever existed, you are a part of his great plan and he loves you. The word believers I guess you can interchange with knowers if it makes more since to you. By saying beleivers what is meant is they believe that christ died for them, their sins are forgiven, and christ will be faithful to those who do believe and he will bring them to the father. The apostle paul said "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

I would be happy to talk to you over e-mail if you wish or here....

I know what you’re asking because I asked the same questions before coming to Christ. My mother said to me, how can you doubt God when you look at this beautiful flower? I said, because I know the beautiful flower is the result of many years of selection and tampering by plant breeders.
I could explain too much about the natural world to be convinced that way.
I became convinced because when I earnestly asked, God responded to me with so much love and comfort. The more I seek and ask questions of him, the more he responds. I can’t prove to you that he’s real, but I know it in my heart.

You’re right. We’re choosers. We choose Faith not because we have to, but because we feel it in our heart. Faith is not supposed to be some giant force that smacks you over the head, or reveals itself in the form of angels and trumpets. Faith can be the tiniest feeling, a grain of truth in the heart that you choose to listen to quietly and honestly.
I believe that God wants us to be choosers. Obviously, it’s not his plan for us to come to him because we are given so much undeniable evidence that we don’t have a choice. How could we feel desire to serve if it worked that way? We would feel like slaves grudgingly following a master without any say in the matter.
Most of us pay our taxes each year not because we particularly want to, but because we have evidence that if we don’t, we could be in big trouble with the government.
God doesn’t work that way. He wants us to serve him in response to our hearts.
It starts with a little faith. As we walk with Christ, learn and grow, our faith grows. So does our trust. We experience His love. We desire to serve him.
God responds to Faith.

Beloved Jesus give me wisdom.

Ask, and it shall be given, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will open to you,

First of all,
Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life, and no man comes to the Father but by me,"

God is not going to appeared to you, or anyone.
Now if your say Jesus, I want to know you, I believe you died on the cross for my sin, please come into my heart, and make me a believer, I make you Lord of my Life,

well, you just might see Gods face after that.

Yeah... i know. God can be anything. And He always be in your heart. if you done something wrong.... or we call it sins, dont you feel dissapointed? or some times you hear a Voice that tell you the truth and future, that's God's voice.... He hasn't and never appeared in your face because He wants your faith. if you a christian, you will know it in the strory of Thomas after Resurection of Jesus. Faith is believe in what you dont see, not what you see.
