Paul Hunter was one true Sportsman. An excellent snooker player, and a clean snooker player. He did brilliantly to continue playing and competing, while his biggest battle was going on inside him - and he always had a smile on his face.
An example to everyone... RIP x

He was so brave to carry on competing because chemotherapy is so debilitating and there are so many side effects, quite apart from hair loss in some cases. He must have felt zapped sometimes sitting waiting for his turn. Speaking as one who knows, there is nothing like a horizontal surface anywhere when the fatigue hits home, but not Paul, he sat there in his chair awaiting his turn and his head full of thoughts that would probably have distracted a super fit player back to the dressing room. Such a brave young man.

Brave, talented, fun, loved and admired by his fellow professionals and good looking. It is so heart rending to think that someone should be taken so young. I bet he died with a final smile on his face- he seemed that sort of person. He achieved a lot in his short life but there should have been so much more to come. Rest in peace Paul - you will not be forgotten.

Just like the asker the this question, I agree to say R.I.P. to Paul Hunter as it hit me hard when I heard the news. My condolences go to his loved ones. Especially his wife and extremely young daughter.

I saw the guy twice, last time was when he came back to beat Feargal O'Brien after which he admitted to having sex between sessions to buck him up. The bloke was a bloody hero and will be sadly missed. RIP Paul
