Im really stressed out my mom is 88 broke hip 1month ago she was put in conv. hospital for therp.she has not regained her strainth back so she can not do therp..i had to bring her home cause medical denided her she has to much money and not enough for all her bills.she depends on me for support plus im her only child and care giver she dont want nobody but me taking care of her.and that i will trust that.But im an xdrug affender been clean one yr. now didnt see light until late in life.make story short x friend one and half yrs ago had drugs at my house and because of my past history they filed on me,now i already been to court was suppose to turn self in 10-05-2006 but i got another lawyer paid 5000 and got more time out ontil dec7th im trying to get judge to do different sentenceing but i have to convience the judge why i need to stay out.what the hell do i do the doctors note is not enough ireally have to do some mountain movein any ideas im not trying to get a free

Go to AA, churches, coffee shops, anywhere. talk to everyone you can. You never know who you might meet. There are judges in AA and NA as well as docotors and caregivers for the elderly.
You have to get some support so you can stay clean and get through this. Don't miss a court date, don't make excuses. Judges appreciate it when people are honest. We all screw up sometimes. I am lighting a candle for you now. You and your mom will get through this.
Make yourself a mantra to get through each day. It can be as simple as 'put one foot in front of the other" whatever words will keep you going. You can do it but you might have to get down on your knees

If you are a first offender you can have the lawyer suggest a suspended sentence with doing probation at home. If not first offense ask lawyer to see about specialized house arrest wearing the ankle receiver which lets you take care of mom, work, shop, but still "doing your time." BTW are there any other health factors that your mother has? If so get a written statement form all doctors involved as to the medical condition your mother is in. Your lawyer can help get these for you. Good Luck!!!

Don't rely on God, he's not going to help you. You need to get a better attorney, can you prove you've been clean a year? You should be able to get your sentenced reduced because of hardship. Your Mom won't have anyone to take care of her, you should maybe try talking (or have your Lawyer) to the prosecuters office, they can recommend house arrest instead.

Maybe somehow they can do something like extend your sentancing until you can find arrangements for your mother? Or until you are free to do it?
If you have a lawyer, really, that is his job to collect that facts to point out if you go to jail....your mom will die. There will be NO ONE to take care of her.

Talk to the judge and explain your situation with your mother and ask if there is another way you can take a punishment like community services so you are always there for your mother.!

If what you say is all true, then you are in a very tough position! I think you should get down on your knees, and turn this one over to God! He will provide for your mother, and he will have an answer for you as well. He works in mysterious ways!
