Muslims claim, that a proof that the Koran was from God is that it contains scientifically accurate information about Embryology, yet in 86:6-7 the Koran says, "man was created from ejected liquid- Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs". This echoes the scientific error of Hippocrates who believed semen originates, from the brain down the spinal chord, before passing through the kidneys and finally out of the body. (Hippocratic Writings, Penguin Classics, 1983, p. 317)

Do you reject modern science and believe the Koran when it says sperm originates from the mid-gut section of a man's body.

The Torah, Bible, and Koran do a good job of marking the history of the mid-east from the days of ancient man until the year 600. They stop there. Many human stories are relevant today as they were then, because times change and the human race doesn't. Science has changed everything we know about our universe and it is time for someone to begin a new religion, that takes into account such things as aceh, and what people must do when they see the sea recede from the shore.

Generally speaking, I believe that religion (any) and science really don't mix. Religion is largely faith based, where science is based in theory and laws. Occassionally, perhaps even often, they will agree, but I don't think anyone ever intended for them to support one another. Faith is belief without proof - such a doctrine would get you laughed out of the scientific community.

I have a beef with science as it relates to evolution over creationism. If there is no God (or whatever you beleive to be God), and you beleive that this was all a scientific reaction, what created "whatever it was" that resulted in the big bang and what set it all into motion? Certainly science would agree that matter can't spontaneously be created and the law of motion requires something to occur to set a chain of events into action.

I haven't studied the Qur'an in detail yet. But I personally don't think that any holy book has to be scientifically correct. It is to just be believed. I am Catholic and I believe that God shaped Adam from dirt and blew life into his nostrils and that God put Adam into a deep sleep to take a rib to create Eve. That can't scientifically be done. But that's what I believe because God can do anything He wants. Holy books are to be believed by its believers. That's all that matters.

Well, you gotta know something..
Koran isn't like another 'holy bible'
In fact, it's just a book with collection of quote from christian's holy bible, arabian poems, apocrypha, folk tales, etc..
So it's possible that the koran got a wrong information in it, coz maybe the koran quoted from old science books
But, it's up to you whether do you wanna believe it or not
