But you have a difficult task, eh? It seems that you'll just get snatches of information here and there. You will find a small amount of information in the webpages listed in the source box below (the first is London-based, the second rural Berkshire). This one (http://www.victorianlondon.org/) may have some additional hidden useful information, but you'll need to scout about.

Another possibility might be doing searches on the work of Victorian pioneers of women's health, such as Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, Elizabeth Blackwell and Sophia Jex-Blake.
