No - like the spinach episode, its a case of contamination of ground water. We are paying the price of making a quick buck at the expense of mother nature's well-being.

I don't think we're being invaded. But I would like to hear that lettuce and spinach are fine to eat. If they really wanted to hit the masses, they would attack McDonald's or something! That plaque would spread like wild fire! Deadly hamburgers and fries!

I saw on the news yesterday that now it's lettuce, ground beef and carrot juice. Sounds to me like maybe it's not terriorists. It sound like someone at the produce plants is planting the e-coli.

Naaah. Just like everywhere else--it's cutting corners to save money, either with low staffing or cheaper handling procedures to improve the bottom line.

about hte carrot juice...two people in toronto have just be declared paralized but the effects of drinking carrot juice.
The company claims that the juice wasn't stored properly which resulted in a bacteria (don't remember the name) to produce.

nah were just not supposed to eat lettuce, mushrooms, and spinach. Were also not supposed to eat fish because of mercury, chicken or turkey because of aviary flu, beef because of mad cow disease and in maryland pigs b/c we have tainted pork around here.
