when my boyfriend broke up with me about a week or so ago I was sad...and then I decided to make myself feel better about myself I was going to change all the things about me I didn't like. I straightened my curly hair, cut it shorter, pierced my cartilage, getting my naval pierced and there is a long list of things I'm currently working on. Do you think I might be changing a lil too much? or is it a good thing?

I think it's a good thing. Anything you do to make yourself feel better (without hurting anyone else) is a great thing! If you want to make yourself look cute, how can that be bad? As long as you are doing it to make yourself feel better, and not because you feel like something is wrong with you, have at it, and enjoy it!

You should stop and ask yourself why you're doing all of this, is what you should do.
Surely, if you had all of these 'flaws' before you'd want to correct them.
I'm thinking it's more of a 'let's see if I can get his attention again' phase you're going through more than an improvement.
While the change can be a good thing, it's also wise to take the changes slowly. You don't want to wake up one morning and look in the mirror and wonder who is the person staring back at you and where the world did she come from.

You're emotional. I'm sure you don't need to change your appearance, maybe you just feel like you're not good enough. Just don't get a tattoo yet - imagine staring at it the rest of your life and being reminded of the time you broke up with some guy.

Go slowly at first, go with something temporary first before going onto more permanent things. This is in case you suddenly realize you dont want it after all.

It could be brought about by you thinking that who you are currently is not good enough and so you desire to change drastically. If you must..do it slowly OR make sure your feelings arent causing you to do this.

Yes, you are going overboard - and no, it's not a good thing. You are changing your "outward" appearance, and haven't done anything to change the inner you, which is the part that needs work and help.

honestly, i think you're going a little overboard.. it seems as if you're doing all this to prove a point or make a statement.. relax and only do what you feel comfortable with....

If it makes you feel good, do it...Heck you only live once and if you have a list, get the stuff done...
