This is a tough one and I don't envy you. But being overweight is not healthy and it's best to be straight forward with this the same way you would if you saw him doing something else that were risking his health. His feelings will heal and he'll thank you once he's healthy and has added years to his life.
I excercise with my boyfriend at least twice a week. We usually go for a run one day and to the gym another. he usually ends up at the gym once or twice a week on his own and i do my own thing too.
Before i started working out with him we were both slacking off with our health, it seemed like we really motivated and encouraged each other.
it's something that you decide to do together as a couple... add to your excercise some healthy fun eating, cook and eat together... you should get there.
you don't have to be cruel. just honest.
one thing i am working on with my bf is the fact that he smokes more than a pack a day. i don't and i hate to see him do it.
one of my favorite things to do is tell him how much i love him and how i'd love to have all the extra years with him that quitting smoking will give us. there are many many pages upon pages of reports and facts that tell you why smoking is no good and what improvements you will see by quitting.
same goes for healthy diet and excercise. give him some information that you print off the net or get him a book. once he gets started HE will feel better. not only from the reaction that he gets from you when you can't keep your hands to yourself, but also because he experiences all the benefits himself, more energy, better sleep etc etc.
good luck, and have fun!

If your boyfriend has stubborn belly fat, the only way he can reduce his fat is by doing aerobic exercises. During activities like swimming, rowing and walking, enough oxygen is supplied to the body to burn fat. Fat is burned from all over the body, including the stomach. If aerobic exercises are done regularly over a period of time, he will gradually lose weight. The healthiest way to prevent a fat stomach is by ensuring that your weight is normal for your height. Ensure that the energy provided by the food you eat matches the energy you burn performing your daily activities. Losing fat around the stomach takes time. Have a serious but gentle talk. The only way to deal with this is honesty. The issue is not only your romance, it is his health and self-esteem as well. If he is letting that go now, he will let it go for the rest of his life. Tell him you want to build your life on a solid and healthy foundation for you both. Invite him to join you in a joint gym membership. If he says ok, that will get him on a routine of exercise. If he won't do it, ask yourself if you can live with a man who doesn't care for how he looks.

Get him out of the house more often take him to the mall and walk around and get him motivated. Do things to make him active you know if anything go for a walk after dinner around your neighborhood. Buy him a dog and get him to walk it. And go with him so that he does not cut the walk short.

Men are lazy, like me. Asking us to exercise or stop eating will not help. Instead ask him to take the acid-alkaline diet. I find it is very easy for me. I lose weight while continue to consume whatever I want.
