don't confuse religion and archeology
The fact that it is mentioned in the Koran just means that it is an old legend which was known about at the time that the book was being written.
It does not point to any divine knowledge or insiration.
Nasa satelittes have discovered many archealogical oddities

What? There are scores of lost cities. NASA even found a river under the Saharra, yet I have never heard of a satellite finding this one. Where was it? Why did it get lost?
