Love is much more than just getting used to someone..you love that person with all your heart..when they are happy you are..when they are sad you are...you want to protect them..be equal in a partnership..when they are not with you you miss them... I think you are probably right that people do get blinded by lust though.

when u love someone u feel like u would do anything 4 him, u would go to the end of the world 4 him. it's not just tolerance - it's when u love someone more then u love urself. and it's not just lust - it's when u can leave anything u have and u wanna have just to keep this person 4 urself.
love is a flying wish but lust is a horizontal wish. so love and lust r very different - remember it!

Love and lust are obviously different things, but easily confused because the symptoms are so similar. In both cases, there are urges in the pit of your stomach, adrenaline focuses your attention on one thing, etc. so I would suggest this. Let's be honest: few of us fall in love without lusting after who we are with. It's human nature to look for health and beauty in a potential mate. So I would say that lust is the desire to hook up with someone else whereas true love is the desire to cuddle with them after you hook up. If it is lust, you don't think about them when they're not around. When it's love, you miss them, even just a little, every second they aren't around.

true love is unexplainable. it is the time that you always smile with no reason at all. love is not being used to be there with your partner. to experience true love you will also sacrifice things and vice versa. life is not always fair and happy. lust is just in physical aspect, but then when you love the person lust is always present to spice things up.

Lust will only last for so long. Love lasts forever as long as their is a reason to love that person. I guess that is how it works.

To me true love is not being able to imagine being without your partner, wanting to share every bit of their life with you, through the bad times as well as the good. To me my true love is my companion, my best friend, my lover and my soulmate.
