Yes, I am an old couch potato. I just restarted the lemonade diet again. Not for weight loss, but because I wasn't feeling well. I lost 35 pounds the last time I was on it .
There were other benefits I didn't count on. Oh I was only on it two weeks.
I lost 15 pounds the first 3 days.
I had had edema for ten years , it was gone in two days.
I was able to quit my arthritis medicine,
There's much more. All of my employees that when on the program had dramatic results.
I'm going to give you a tip I didn't have...You can use cayenne pepper capsules rather than the raw cayenne pepper..
This is a detox diet that can be stayed on for long periods of time. Loss of weight with out loss of muscle mass.
This diet is all over the Internet and you can get it free.Note, this was a time in my life where nothing else worked and I was gaining weight on diets.
Good luck

Those who say "i dont exercise but i want to lose weight" are pathetic. I dont think the general public really understands how simple losing weight is; it justs take an integrated effort.
Step one: Workout out at a local gym twce a week, possibly at a YMCA. Dont worry about what others think of you. Honestly, you will become stronger, will appreciate your body more, and you will definitely look better. Muscle also burns fat.
Step two: Cardio exercise, 2-3 times per week. This will help you slim down. Do this cardio for 30 minutes at first, but then work up to an hour. I would start out by doing simple things like walking and light jump roping. Then progress to more intense exercises- running, and fast jump roping.
Diet: At least one gallon of water per day, but more is better in this case. Limit your carbs to 100 calories a day (except on weight lifting days, when you can have 200). Do not eat fast food. Never. Dont eat things high in sugar. Avoid processed foods, like most cereals, crackers, brownies, cupcakes, potato chips, and cheetos. You may actually eat more than expected in this diet- as long as it is healthy food. Eat more chicken, fish, and turkey. I also recommend a lot of skim milk, cottage cheese, apples, oranges, and all vegetables. Try a routine with 6 small meals per day. Generally, carbs are recommened earlier in the day because they are burned within hours. One more thing, I suggest that you get whey protein. It is a completely safe and very healthy way to get protein in your diet, which is what you need to build muscle.
Good luck. This will definitely work for you and actually any other overweight person... just most people are too lazy to care enough.

To lose weight, you need to reduce the calorie intake by some amount. It is important to develop a healthy diet , so that body receives sufficient nutrients even as you try to lose weight. Check the calorie count of the food you eat. A diet without sufficient nutrients like vitamins and minerals will only increase your appetite when you are trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan to lose weight , additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles to increase the metabolic rate. Small changes in your diet can help you lose a lot of weight. For long term fat loss, the exercise program should consist of a combination of weight training and aerobic exercises. I hate exercise, and have never been good at counting points, etc, so I have a diet that works for me. All you have to do is count calories. You can eat withever you want, but women can only have 1500 calories a day and men can only have 2000. I love this diet because I can still ahve my McDonalds if I want, I just can only have 1500 cal a day.

I've heard that if you change nothing about your diet, but add a ton of water, you'll lose weight.
