I have already an OS in WinXP, but I want another OS in my second partition

Here's a good tutorial for dual booting Windows and Linux. It is a bit complicated to set up.

if u r having any unpartitioned space thats fine or else in process u have to loose one windows portion
After installing the Xp,start installing linux in graphics mode at the start up it wil ask what should be ur default OS select XP from there and proceed with the installation nver install Xp on linux u will loose Linux,Un can do the Vice Versa u will not loose any OS

When you install linux, it will automatically install a dual boot environment, so that you can choose which OS to load, defaulting to Linux.
