I am vegetarian and I am trying to keep my weight down. Vegetarian food doesn't have to be healthy and light (salads and nuts!).
I eat a lot of vegetable curry, pasta, macaroni cheese, pizza, in addition to salads etc. I have hot dogs, burgers, roast dinners etc... it's just made of Quorn instead of meat.

The few people I knew who were vegetarians thought nothing of eating a whole box of cookies and some candy bars. No meat in those. But healthy and slimming? No.

Take in more calories than you use up
Weight has nothing to do with being veggie, or not.
Veggies end to be lighter only because they look more at thier diets in the first place, nothing to do with not eating meat, fish or poultry.
You need to come and stay at our veggie B&B, the breakfast will sort out your weight gain needs !
We have plenty of veggie guests with some mighty-fine veggie beer guts.

depends what type of weight you want to gain, if you want to gain fat then eat sugary fatty food. If you want to gain muscle then you need to eat protein rich food coupled with a weight bearing exercise like lifting weights, circuit training, rowing, yoga, press ups etc.
Nuts, beans, eggs, vegetable protein replacements like quorn, or TVP can be eaten to replace meat and fish, or you could have a protein shake.

Easily! Too many veggies replace meat with things like pasta, white bread, cheese... plus you can still eat lots of cake and chocolate!

Well although I wouldn't recommend it, a lot of high sugar foods would do it. But high starch would be safer yet effective as well.
