All people believe they are right. Islamic terrorists pray 5 times everyday. In between they make plans to bomb other people, even their own brothers and sisters. Most people can only see the here and now, as your question seems to imply. We, (the US)
were a peaceful nation during the 1930's and most people when to church or some other prayer services. But when we were left with no choice, we went to war. Same thing happened in 1917. We were forced into Korea.
But I guess the best answer to your question is a quote: "the only thing that evil needs to suceed is that good men do nothing." The Islamic terrorists see us as evil and we in turn see them the same way. So both sides pray that they are right.

It's not only wars that bring on their feelings of guilt, it's lying, stealing, and inhumanity too. They've been brought up to believe no matter how ugly their crimes are, a session of Prayer will clear them. PS I don't like the saying "Get a life" but all you grammatically correct people who let this person know it's pray and not prey, need to do just that.

Haven't you ever noticed that prey and pray have 2 different meaning but are used by the same people.

Seems like religious people are the first to be attacked by those who practice evil. The evil people would like nothing better than to tell the good people, "why are you putting up a fight? Doesn't your religion say you shouldn't kill? Lay down and die." What would you do, faced with that choice? Pray or fight? 250,000 black African Christians have been slaughtered in the Sudan by gangsters and thugs who claim to be Muslim. The fact that you shoot and kill a predator who is trying to rape your baby daughter doesn't mean you can't go to church the next day and pray. In fact, you should be kneeling before the altar giving thanks to God for the decent hand-eye coordination he gave you that allowed you to save your baby.

Nice play on words Tommy. Do you really want to know why humanity wages war against each other? The answer is inside of you, just like it's inside the rest of us. Take the time to take a deep look at youself like I did. It may take a few years for you to put it into words, yet you won't be able to shake the feeling.
God didn't give the human race dominion over the world and all animals. We dominate because we took dominion. For the thousands of years since we took it all we have to fight with is each other.

First...they go to war to prey
They go to church to pray
War is a terrible thing but is sometimes necessary.........IF you are protecting your country, family, or even your religion from being destroyed.
Terrible......but not necessarily wrong

Great minds have clear concepts about great realities, wonders and mysteries, so they are serene, humble and progressive. They are not little kids to be easily brainwashed.
