You could check out with the Muslim organization in your country if they provide a softcopy for Quran translation, i don't think it's free though....

I am not sure where you can get a free one but CD's are sold everywhere, the Quran with interpretation, not sure where you are, in fact.
But there is nothing wrong in giving your friend a version of the Quran, your aim is to help him open his mind and Allah Knows better.

u cannot give anyone a copy of Qu'ran until he wants it -- either to read or gain knowledge. if someone doesnot want you to shove the faith down their throats , then please dont give them. for one should be willing to read.

At-Takwir | 29 verses | The Overthrowing
Sura #81 | Makkah
28 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight.
29 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation

anyways, for the link of online Qu'ran i can get u one link --

alternatively u can get a Qu'ran from the local Masjid. they usually allow one to take Qu'ran without any charge.

please do not give your freind if he is uncomfortable. have a nice day and peace.

Find your friend the softcover, not a CD, they burn easier. Here's a better idea; Ask your friend for a bible, I'm sure he'll give you his!
