No, M & M's don't have different flavors. The coating is simply just for color.

Although there are different types of M&M's (plain, peanut, almond, peanut butter, crispy, mint & white chocolate), there's no different flavors within a single type... just different colors.

The orange ones have a slight citrusy taste and the pink ones taste like strawberry. The blue ones taste like the ocean and the green ones like grass. The red ones taste like a cross between watermelon and cherry. the brown ones just taste like chocolates.
If you try hard enough to taste them. ;-)
Why don't you buy a bag and try for yourself.

Just color.
It might intrest you that the coating is made for soldiers so that if you grab the M&Ms, they don't melt in your hand.
