I work for an airline and we won't check in bags for a flight the next day. One, there is no where to keep them for that long. Bags are sent down and sorted for flights leaving within a few hours. Second, a bag that is around that long has a far greater chance of getting lost or forgotten. A lot of airports have a "left luggage" service that you can leave your bags for a small fee. You might try that if you have luggage that you would rather not carry around with you.

no this is not possible- you can however check in your luggage early in the morning of the day of travel even though you will be flying out at night. if this was allowed it would cause too much commotion and lead to storage problems as a plane(with your luggage)can not leave 48hrs before you depart, cos where will they keep ur bags before you arrive.

hi steve, as far as i know, once you have checked your luggage in, you are not allowed to leave the airport. it's like leaving unattended luggage, a security risk. maybe if you stayed there, it wouldn't be a problem.

There are certain carriers that allow you to do this, your best bet is to check with your travel agent who will gladly advise you.
