REVOLUTION! It is the best stuff ever! My friend lives where fleas are epidemic, and when she came to visit me, I sent her home with revolution.. It worked in a day..and she had used Advantage and Frontline and still couldn't get rid of them before..
Revolution also prevents heartworm, and mites, as well as getting rid of roundworms and tape worms! The breed i raise have bad reactions to nearly all chemicals, but have no problems with Revolution.. As it is new, the vets are encouraged to give the first treatment free, so call around to see who carries it, and if they give the first dose free.. You will never want to use anything else..

We like the frontline better. We have tried the advantage and it didn't work as well as the frontline.Because of Tennessees warm weather fleas are real bad here. With the frontline we have had great luck no fleas!! Also try 2 tbs vinger to 1 pint of water and give to your dogs to drink daily. It will keep the fleas off. Good luck!

My friends and I rescued a bunch of dogs last year from storm ravaged Mississipi and Louisiana and discovered that over half of them had heartworm. After some serious fundraising efforts, we were able to secure h/w treatment for all of them ($6,000!) and, with the exception of one who passed away, they all continue to thrive here in the northeast.
I told you that story, so I could tell you this one:
Up until the day of the transport operation, my friend (who is a vet tech) and I swore by Frontline as a flea and tick treatment. What we discovered was that MOSQUITOES pose as much of a hazard to dogs as fleas and ticks as they spread West Nile virus and heartworm. And, as far as I can tell, the only flea and tick medication that protects against the dreaded mosquito is K9 Advantix, which is also produced by Bayer, makers of Advantage.

Revolution only helps with worms in CATS..
Frontline plus is better because it is waterproof (a big plus), kills fleas within a few hours but starts working right away. It kills skin mites (often why a dog is itching)
I have not had a flea on my dogs or in my home in over 8 years using frontline plus.
I get mine at a great price from this guy on ebay 100% poss feedback and fast shipping!

Advantage never worked on my dogs, not sure why. We tried the all in one stuff (flee and heartworm) but found out that it works differently than the kind you rub on the back of their necks, we couldn’t use it because we found that our dog was allergic to flees…So we use Frontline it is the best for our dogs. Just know that all dogs are different what may work for one may not work for another. The best thing you could do is to ask your Vet for samples of them all and try them through out the months; if one doesn’t work you will know because your doggie will start scratching.

They're both equal as far as I've read. The last poster was correct. Revolution is the newest hottest thing on the market. However, it took several tries to get rid of my cats ear mites.

Sorry but I have to say Revolution. It takes care of heartworm, fleas, ticks and roundworms, I think.

My vet actually suggest none of the above, the chemicals only last for short periods of time and if constantly licked by your dog could result in side effects.
