I'm going to try not to be insulting and actually answer your question........
RESPECT is accepting another's beliefs and practices and not insulting their actions, beliefs and practices......you don't see muslims breaking as many laws as christians have in this country and you don't see any muslims typing questions like: "all you dirty christians are idiots" like you see others type........
you however have just stereotyped and DISRESPECTED Muslims so, maybe..........that whole world could try respecting their right to belief. *gasp* such a strange idea.........we shouldn't RESPECT them.........nooooooooo..............we should type stupid questions about them and glare and say mean things till the colloseum is done and we can import some lions.........like we have been doing. Maybe if everyone in the world would stop insulting other people they'd see the light.....and realize that when you insult other people, they want to kill you.........and the less people you insult the less people that want to kill you and the longer your lifespan.

I was respected in Saudi, I can honestly say I never came across a Westener that was shown any disrespect' if I broke their laws I expected to recieve their punishment!
Are you saying the same applies here in the West, do you think we treat Arabs with respect here?? I dont think so!!

Very double standard indeed!!!! Not all of them, but the majority leaders oppress thier own people, particularly the women. How much longer do they think they will remian a united country.

Every country that oppresses it's people eventually rebellion is going to take place, the Arab nation is no different. It's going to take time, but eventually the Arab nation will fall apart.

Oppression Leads to Rebellion, it's just a matter of time

Since this was posted in the Religion and Spirituality area I must ask you to clarify your question.

Do you speak simply of citizens of Arabian nations? or do you mean Muslims?

Either way your statement is a gross overgeneralization.

A similar question would be "Why do all men drink beer?" Not all men do, or
"Why do all women sit at a green light applying makeup in the rear-view mirror?". Not all women do this either.

i want to help you really ..you seem so confused!
look arab countries differ from each other..Saudi Arabia for eg is very strict ..i myself don't like their sever punishments..(while they let Americans fool around in their compounds in there) which is hypocrisy!
other countries like Lebanon ..Jordan ..Egypt are much more tolerant ...in big cities especially...
then there is a big deference between islam and arab traditions...many of the things that the west is accusing us of is due to old traditions ppl still stuck to.
now cool down pls!
