Oh . .glad I asked. I don't make it the old fashioned way as I almost ruined my glass top stove. Thanks for the good info!

I found this website:

Others tried it & gave positive feedback, however, I think I'd like to get one of those microwave poppers mentioned. I didn't know they existed. Where can I get one?

yes, don't do it! The bag will melt onto the popping corn and it could permanently stuff your microwave (as well as the poisonous gases that will be released!) Why not just make the popcorn in a saucepan? It's easy, just cover the bottom of the pan with a layer of oil then one of corn, and watch it go. Once the furious popping dies down it's ready! Just add your flavouring and munch away!!

Don't make it in a paper bag. I have a microwave popcorn popper -not expensive and works really well! It's healthy until you add butter or seasonings!

No, it won't work because if you think about the pre made micro stuff it comes in the heavy duty bag and it has oil and salt and all that good stuff in it already.

But your question prompted me to check out what type of cookware you can get for the microwave. Check this out, pretty cool!

it wont work. you need to add oil to regular popcorn to make it pop. you might be able to get away with putting the kernals in a pyrex dish with a little oil then puttin it in a bag. dont blame me when your house burns down though
