tell him that doing a project for a class that requires you to pick 3 people you dont know to answer a number of questions about themselves and find out their views on things about the school they would change.hit him up at lunch and ask him while you eat with him and get to know him

if u really like him.. i'l say go ahead and speak to him.. get urself introduced .. don give a damn abt wat other ppl will say.... see how he's reacting to u... if he is seeming not so interested in u.. then ditch him.. may be he aint ready for gals... if he is all drooly.. again not really a good idea... but if he's enthusiastic wit getting himself introduced to u then may be its a good shot.. try being frnds and talk abt things... or tell him u saw him that other day doing that thing which u think he's good at..i mean the speech or the sport etc... a basic intro which is very casual would really help u to break the ice...

Just talk to him, yeah its un-nerving but it should work. If he's years ahead, even if he is interested he'll have to laugh it off as otherwise he'll be slagged in class so unless its the same year or maybe at a push 1 year difference i'd leave it alone. After you talk to him, ask him out. He's most likely shy (who wasn't when they were younger), he'll be thrilled, you'll make his day. Good luck

When you see him say hello & say his name, it will make it more personal. Always smile at him & maybe a little wink every now & then.
Tell one of his friends you think he's cute or something like that & they will surely let him know you said that.

Well I won't say concentrate on your studies... but please learn to spell, guys don't like stupid girls that can't spell, oh it is cute at first but gets old real fast. anyway sorry. back to the question.
Be Nice to everyone, when I take a girl out and she is rude to the waitress for example, that is a huge turn off. be polite and smile, guys like happy women. you don't need to change anything for him. you want him to like you for you. be real guys love that. I do.

Go over to him & flirt subtly, if he picks up your signals & flirts back, great.. if he doesnt flirt back, dont bother.
If you meant you just want to be friends with him, then tell him so. Theres nothing wierd about that.
