I am specially interested in Ismailism. Can you give any Quranic or hadith reference to prove that this is right?

Any Muslim can prove that Islam is right... Let me give you an example. Muslims believe that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the last prophet of Allah.. They can prove it through Quran and Hadith. My question is whether Ismailis can give similar proofs for the Imams?

A bit of clarification.. This question is not an attack on Islam. I think any Muslim should be able to justify that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad (saw) is His prophet.

judith_r: Suppose, you have a hard earned $10 lac, or a very precious gift given by your very close friend who is no more in this world... Or, you're on way to hospital carrying money to deposit for operation of a loved one.. And someone steals from you.. What should be the punishment for that person? It should be severe enough to teach him and everyone a lesson. If we start practicing the teachings of Islam (ok this one only), then people won't have to fear being robbed away...

qadir: (I think it should be Abdul Qadir)
You were not supposed to answer this question. If you can't see the truth even after 22 years of your life then just don't comment. This question was not supposed to invite a debate between Muslims and non-Muslims to prove whether Islam is right or not. I just want to know those specific ayats or ahadith through which an Ismaili believes that he is on the right path!

To prove a religion is right or not is not that easy, you'll take a lot of time reading and comparing till you get your decision.

It's only my analyze and you can follow any religious tenes you like but in reply your question i say Yes,

As you consider in history you will find that after 1000 or 2000 years when belief in God promises and have faith in God became weak, God sends a Messenger with a book with more new recommend in that. The holy book of prophet Moses is Torah, the holy book of Jesus is Bible and the holy book of Prophet Muhammad is Quran.I believe all of them plus prophet Noah and Abraham, but when i see prophet muhammad is last one then i strongly follow him . If you consider in his life you will find out he is actually a truthful man.

Because Christianity and Bible were modified right after Jesus Christ(PBUH) was taken to the heavens. He did not die(as Christians believe) he'll return on earth before the Dooms day. The same Jew who planned to hang and kill Jesus(PBUH) later converted to Christianity was the first modifier of Allah's(GOD) message revealed on Jesus'(PBUH). The Bible of today is not in the exact shape as it was at the time it was revealed on Jesus(PBUH). It was being modified. Today you can see so many versions of the Bible. Qurran is the only Holy book which is in the same form as it was revealed on Prophet Muhammad(PBUH). As it is the last message from Allah He Almaighty Himself took the responsibility of its protection and prevention from modification till dooms day that is why Qurran is in the same form and has only one version not many like Bible. Its no wonder Christianity has so many divisions. Jesus(PBUH) was the Prophet of God not son. Adam is the first Prophet and Muhammad is the last Prophet. Every Prophet God sent before Muhammad(PBUH) informed his followers that there would be another Prophet after him and another message from God but those orders were removed and modified. As Islam is the continuation of Gods messages Allah already informed us in the Holy Qurran that there would be no other Prophet after Muhammad(PBUH). Qurran is the last message form God. Sunnis and shias both believe in the same book .You need to study and learn about Islam before judging it.

This question is an attack to the Islam faith. No one has the right to question one's faith but for the discussion there is no way to prove that God exist because it is merely residing in faith alone. There are books, scrolls, and historical texts but it doesn't prove the authenticity of God but it does not mean to say that God is real. Proving one's God in ANY RELIGION is an open question with open answers. There is no real proof and no right or wrong answer.

The main point here is faith... With faith nothing is impossible.

No religion can prove that their right... mostly because people who ask the question don't want it too. But also because most religions are based on a book, like the bible, that says that its right. All religious doctrines are self proving, and that just doesn't cut it for logic.

they cannot. the quran does not mean anything, since it is the words of mohammed not god. would god say this

3:151
We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve, because they set up with Allah that for which He has sent down no authority, and their abode is the fire, and evil is the abode of the unjust.

8:60
And prepare against them what force you can and horses tied at the frontier, to terrorize thereby the enemy of Allah...

8:12
I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.

and this about women

2:228, And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them

there is also many more
just think this, does god want women to go around covering their faces and walk around like ninjas.
muslims can interpret the quran in different ways, but one thing u have to remember is that osama bin laden and ur average muslim living next door read the same quran, if it as really the words of god, god would have made it so that there is only 1 interpretation and that all muslims or ppl understand it.

No one religion is correct or superior to others. There are so many different religions on earth for the same reason we have more than one flavor of ice cream..... to appeal to different people. We normally practice a religion which agrees with our intelligence.

Proof is believing . When a religion proofs it is right, you have decided it is right, otherwise who else? I can tell you anything, yor are convinced, you will say I am right....you will believe me. It is like beauty, you decide who/what is beautiful (in the eyes of the beholder)...bottom line, no religion can proof it is right. Muslims are happy with it, leave them alone.

Nobody will have to prove their own religion to anybody. What kind of religion to believe is entirely up to you...
To know which religion is right for you, first you have to really know all the religion, compare them not just by the outside, then choose according to your own believe.

When it comes to faith and religions, no one can prove anything. What you can do is ask questions about Islam and let Muslims answer it for you.
