I know its weird since I am a girl. But I can build up ab muscles easily. I do crunches and other excercises to be strong. But I don’t like having muscles. Is there any way I can do crunches without getting muscles. Should I do more reps, less sets or more sets less reps. I currently do 3 sets of 25. Also how much time inbetween each set?

I think that should be fine. This will sculpt, but not add weight to the muscles. If you don't want to even sculpt, do less of that, just do cardio.

Nothing too weird. I build muscles easily too. I'm told not to worry because girls don't have much testosterone to get really big and huge muscles. Even if you do get extra muscles that you don't want, it's not the end of the world. You can reduse them with dieting. This is, however, not a desired kind of dieting.

If you don't want the ab muscles then don't do ab crunches or do only a few and increase any other exercises that you do like cardio or running or whatever it may be.So that the fat which was burnt for ab crunches now will be burnt for some other exercises.
We develop muscles in the areas where the body needs them so if you stop doing crunches or reduce the amount of it then the body will not require as much muscles and they will be automatically melt away.

Ok, crunches are the type of exercise that tones the muscles in your abs. Maybe you should try a different form of exercise, such as running. Do a lot less crunches and focus on exercises that don't build up muscle, but tone them. Like yoga or pole dancing, etc etc...

First, youre doing too many crunches. You seem obsessed with keeping your stomach flat. Don't be. Youre overdoing it. Try aerobics, and cut your crunches in half. Do an aeorbic exersize, for 30 minutes a day, in the morning is the best time. Take a walk after eating your dinner, keeping your stomach sucked in as you walk, this will tighten up your lower abs, and your food will digest faster, and build your energy. Do your crunches after your aerobic workout, in the morning, for about 10 minutes. Dont forget to stretch your body afterwards, this will help your body to relax. Take Care

I always heard do more reps with less weight to keep from developing bigger muscles. If there is something you can do to lessen the resistance, it would probably help. On the other hand, great abs look hot!

Because you are a female you won't build up huge muscles as testosterone, a male hormone, is needed to do that which is why you see female athletes with big muscles - they take steroids.
