Do you believe that if all Christians just vanished, that almost all Atheists would not convert to Christianity.
I just finished watching A Thief In The Night, A Distant Thunder, Image Of The Beast, and the first Left Behind Movie.
How could someone possibly think that we Atheists would be that stupid to not believe in a God if all of the Christians just vanished? Not only that, but it was only Christians that vanished. I see a flaw in all the movies I listed above, there would be no one that would accept the mark of the beast, nor would anyone promote a unified Goverment.. Most of us would see that as proof enough for your Bible to be accurate...
How many of you believe that Atheists, Agnostics, and non believers in general would just be give an excuse like "Oh it must have been UFOs"?
Btw.. Most of the movies had some sort of entertainment value, but the left behind movie was horrible.. absolutely horrible.. I am not sure about the books, but the movie sucked

Btw, I am an Atheist. I am just curious if Christians believe non-believers would actually behave this way.

CJunk,
Lol, it was not too bad. I love horror movies, even B rated ones so I do not have high expectations lol. Anyways, I am stuck at work at the moment so it helped pass the time :)

Nothing surprises me anymore, people do and believe in odd things now days. Even after we are gone I think it'll be to late for the ones left behind. It will be a time of peace yet the most evil of all will walk among man, they will think he is God and do as he asks.
Satan is the god of ignorance and the Atheist will run to him.

Deazone,
I truly believe that some not all will still reject God because of what I've seen in this section said by other non-believers. They hate God and believe him to be cruel and unloving. Some say that they rather go to Hell then to serve him because of what is going on in this world. When families are hungry and the light are turned off, anybody would do anything to help their love ones and themselves and that's accepting the mark and the new world order guidelines. You must understand that not just those who don't believe in God are left behind but even the elect will be there also.

When I was a christian I was also right into studying prophecy. And its exactly like those things you pointed out which started to make me realise that the prophecie do not parallel with reality too well.
Those types of books and movies are a little embarrasing for me now. I cant believe I actually fell for that nonesense. Christians should be ashamed of themselves.
YUK 'Thief in the Night'. I just started watching it, I dont think I could bare it. So I am not watching that one
EDIT
In that case I may give the movie more of a chance
:)

Rapture theology (the idea that Christians will be raptured off into heaven during the time of the tribulation) is a very current concept that most mainline and established churches do NOT believe in.
Besides some of the logic that you discussed above, it would not make sense why Christ would whisk away believers and allow others to suffer before they chose to believe. Besides, many of Christian martyrs throughout history (especially during the early church) have died horrific deaths because they believed. Why weren't they spared their horrible fates?

I just don't get it, why would non believers don't believe in God yet they do believe that there would be a beast to destroy humanity.
This are the times that our faith is being tested, we might falter from time to time but what matters most is than once we have seen what we have done wrong, we hold on to our faith and belief much more stronger than the first time.

this is complication-unfastened thinking in American church homes yet not someplace else. maximum Christians outdoors the US do not have faith this. there are a number of transformations of opinion. as an occasion, in the united kingdom many church homes sell being undesirable and humble as virtues. In African church homes this is in many cases theory that Christians who do stable would be rewarded with riches and wealth. For years the yank church homes have been preaching that Capitalism is a contemporary from God. i'm unable to ascertain God telling business enterprise directors to fireside scores of team, make those left artwork particularly confusing so as that the shareholders could have extra money.....

I dun think atheiests would convert because for most its not a question of "I dun wanna be one of the whole and to prove it I will believe different." Most I know truthfully believe in an existance without dietys which sounds very enticeing considering centurys without a mail, a call, not even a telegraph! lol but to be serious I think posers might covert people who believed in christianity to begin with but those who I know are more on a science POV the need proof, Something they can hold in their hands like a photo signed "To John Paul love always, your bud, GOD" I dunno of the movies you listed I dun watch bible movies since thats not my religion lol but oh well I will check to see what they are about.

Are you talking about the 'Rapture"?
I think they would convert. If all the Christians vanished off the face of the earth, they would definately consider this to be HEAVEN.

religion is stupid as hell. christianity isn't any more right than the next religion. just stop devoting all your time to worrying about whether or not people believe in the same made up garbage as you do. as far as i'm concerned the bible is one enormous fiction novel.
