I am investigating the possibility of developing toast that butters itself whilst in the toaster. There is potential for it to also include toppings such as jam, marmite, peanut butter. I want to see if other people would buy something like this... think of the time saving, toast will not go cold whilst you are buttering it, life would be easy and you could save money by not buying jam (or other topping). What do you think?!

Brilliant idea! I would definitely buy it, especially if the toppings included cheese & beans!

Isn't this taking things just a bit too far? If you can't be bothered to butter your own toast why get out of bed? What is your purpose in life?
Maybe someone will invent a machine which can chew and swallow the toast for you. Bring back the continental breakfast, is what I say: A roll in bed with a little honey.
On reflection, you might like to delegate that to a robot as well!

Honestly? That sounds a little odd. I prefer to butter my own toast no matter what. No machine could quite get the peanut butter or cheese spread on just the way I like it.

No, it would make a mess in my toaster and I like to spread my own to my own personal taste and mood.

As a side note, I invented self burning toast some years ago.

Self WHAT? You say it will be a time saving project...tell me, what will the prospective punter do with the 45 seconds s/he has saved - read a further 450 words of their newspaper, or go across the kitchen to (waste time on) another time-saving device?

NO! I think there is more than enough food filled with chemicals on the market. How hard is it to butter toast!

To butter and jam would be too hot and would burn the inside of your mouth.

So probably not workable, unless you want to be sued lots.
