Im a Christian, but im interested to know what the koran actually says, rather than hearing all sorts of things about it- ( some probably true and some probably false )
This is more for research than for religion - I know the God I love.

Wow, i didn't expect so many answers, so quickly. Thankyou everyone.
Want to make it clear Im not interested in becoming a muslim. But I do respect other peoples religions, and I belive that to do this I need more information.
Also Im certainly not interested in anyone who "bashes" or promotes mistruths about muslims - and would never want to do that myself.

You can buy a PenMen Digital made in Korea which contains 30 chapters of holy Qur'an in original Arabic language and writings with its translation into English as an international language and into Indonesian as national language. Its volume can be decrease and increase and can be rewinded and can be selected to a certain topc or surah which one is needed by clicking its menu. Its size is as big as our arm and can be brought in a pocket.
You have a good intention to learn Islam right to its original and formal source. If you study Islam by reading a book which is written by non muslim you will be misled if its writer hates muslims and islamic teaching..It is better read yourself than hear it from others. You will have a right picture of Islam by doing that.I appreciate you..

The God you love is no different than the God of the Qur'an.Christianity and Islam have more in common than any other two religions. We share the same love for Jesus and all the Prophets before him. We enjoin the good and forbid the evil. True Christianity is just like Islam.
You could try numerous sites including:
Quranicrealm.org
http://www.hti.umich.edu/k/koran/
http://muttaqun.com/quran/
and my favorite
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/
which has 3 different english translations side by side of every verse
if you got anymore questions just send me a message.
Peace be with you.

This is probably one of the best links as it offers 3 translations parallel with each other so you can get a better idea of what the Arabic text is being interpreted as.
Also, if you want to hear the Qur'an, here is a good link:
www.islamway.com
you will need to click on ENGLISH at the bottom of the page.

I agree with the first poster....the internet does have false translations just to bring down Islam. You can simply buy one online, or ask a Muslim to borrow one of theirs. I'm sure they won't mind. =)

Being a muslim i will not suggest that you read the Quran online cuz it does have fake translations.
If possible, please arrange for a Quran with English translation.
however....visit here >> http://www.hti.umich.edu/k/koran/browse.html
