I'm young, only 19, and people always tell me to happy I;m single. I don't know why, I mean besides the money not being spent so much, whats so grea tbaout being single? Isn't it better to be with someone and have that feeling of love? I just feel, I dunno incomplete or I;m missing something?

it's not butterflies and lillies when you're in a relationship. You'll have moments where you want to be around that someone every single day, and times when you don't want to even see them. There will be sacrifices that you'll have to make constantly just to make that person happy. There are also personal things that you can only enjoy when you're alone. And if you're not alone much, there may be some things you no longer notice.
It's like a job really. You get money and you might be doing something that you really like. However, the time you spend working could be spent elsewhere. You spend days working while the most amazing things could be happening and you're prevented from seeing it.
And also, if you're the creative type, your muse or greatests works can come due to you being single. then, being in a relationship can change your muse for the better...or even for the worse. Or you may just give up some creative outlets due to lack of time or desire.
Therefore, there's something to enjoy from being single. Find it. Cause trust me, if you don't feel that sense of being happy single, you may feel like something is missing when you actually do find yourself in a relationship. Cheers, and best of luck!

Well when people tell you that they are mostly referring to you can go when you want, where you want and with whom you want. No questions by anyone, come home as late as you want ect... that is what they mean... Now about your other comment isn't is better to be with someone you have "that" feeling of love. Your assuming you get "that" feeling.. your assuming it's a good relationship. Your assuming your not going to date some overbearing, insanley jealous crazed manaic. Now before you say I would never do that. Try reading this Q/A for a while there are plenty of men and women in abusive relationships

I think you are missing something, 'coz not all the time, being with someone you are in love with is not also happy all the time. Life is not perfect, and there's nothing perfect. Even if you have all the money in this world won't make you happy. It is how you live your life that matters and would make you happy, be it single or married.

people are just trying to emphasize the advantages of being single, like having lesser responsibilities. more freedom etc. This is because they want you to enjoy your youth. They do not mean that they want you to stay single for the rest of your life. You will know when it is the right time for you to give up being single & get married. It will be another phase of your life. In the meantime, you're 19 so enjoy life!

Dear, all those say that u r happy if u r single must be partnered by bad persons. So they say that. Its for sure You are really Happy being single than you have a bad partner. But if u really have a good and caring partner then there is no other option to have such a person who can make your life more happy. ;)

Everyone that is saying that does not have 2 be with bad people, they are just in a partnership, and 2 be in one takes allot of work,it is easier being single. I don't care if you're madly in love, it is hard work!

being single has its own speciality compared to being in a relationship. in a relatiohship, you tend to have someone, love someone and you get to do things together. off course at times, being in a relationship hurts as well. at that time you wish you were single? there's nothign wrong being single.off course, now a days people tend to think that something is wrong with you-being single. actually its not. when you are single, you are capable of more things. you tend to live up your life in various way.no worries.

hell yeah. single is great. until u get to ur mid 20's or so then you gotta hurry the F*** up. but as of right now, Explore, Learn, Live for what the world has to offer. really when you get a GF theres only holding hands and spending all ur hard earned money for her. so live it up! [=

i'm single but sometimes i do feel like i'm missing something...but then again i love being single because it's less stressful...and you can see who you want when you want....without having to feel guilty....and its funny because sometimes those who are in relationships get jealous of those who are not....and i think its because we have more freedom...so yes you can be happy single....i'm a very happy person and you can be too.

I'm married, for 14 years. Oh, yeah, being single means being happy. Enjoy it and don't ever get married. Don't ever stick your hand under a running lawn mower...same feeling.
