Why can't we humanbeings all be together & united, think big, & convert this whole world into a single nation?

You must be young. Who exactly would run this one world government? It is a nice idea, but it would never happen. Too many different religions, cultures, policies to be united. I love my country and would fight to maintain it just the way it is, problems and all. How many other people feel that way? Peace young idealist.

I hope U got enough explanation already by getting different Replies... U got many replies already... more criticism.., some fooling.., some objects.., some tries 2 understand U that It is Impossible... I think U could find very few answers supporting UR thought... Now wat U feel...? Is it possible.. No country is perfect.. No ruler/Govt. could rule a country perfectly... World is made of such many countries... So who can manage such big stuff when many Human's cant manage their own very small Family...Remember tht thousands of Divorces R happening each day in this world... We cant tolerate our own wife/husband, children, parants... then how can we tolerate this whole world...?

I personally appreciate UR thought.. It's a fantastic thought.. but practically impractical..
It could be really nice if this world was a single country.. as many countries have many many different resouces... Like Japan, korea, China are advanced in technologies n IT. Gulf countries have oil.. most of the countries have their own food resourses... If we could share each in equal, they might have been much cheap, there might not be any War etc...

But but but... It's just like a Dream... Will it come true or not... Lets see..

Well the only example of why it won't work is the current example of the United nations. If we can't all agree in that setting, it pretty much explains there could not ever be 1 single nation. Religion and power will always be in the way of tolerance. Until all countries are on the same page, your idea is best served in movies from Hollywood.

It is not one's thinking that the world should be united but it should be in the practice that one can convert the world into one big nation. For example let your question be the first beginning and instead of asking for 'one big united world', let me suggest an another way of making this dream come true. Use the 'yahoo answers' forum to address this question seriously and ask for comments and opinions from those who think on the same line. I for one say yes to 'one big united world'. Because humans are too stupid for anything even remotely close to that. They are easily influenced by greed, racism, arrogance, the same old stupid crap. Men and women can't even agree that both are equal, both groups still stupidly puts down the other. Too dumb this humanity, only smart enough to make weapons to kill themselves. Just look at North Korea.

I agree with you though, I've always wished people could be smart enough to achieve a truely united world. But again, waaay too dumb to do it.

Selfishness has been one of the biggess enemies of mankind. In the world there are enough resources for everybody to live well. To do that wealth have to be balanced in the world, But thats never gonna happen cause greed is a poison that benefits you, but dont benefit the common good.
