Why is mold different colors in different locations?

Most of the places I have lived, the mold has been black. The place that we live now it is pink. Why is that?

I keep a very clean home, but sometimes I don't notice it because it's pink..

Molds are caused by different fungi therefore depending on the source of your mold the color will change. It isn't good to live in moldy places. Your landlord should get rid of this pink stuff immediately.
Inhaling molds can be harmful to your health and that of small children. It will also irritate any allergies that you have.
Get rid of it!
