I like how you think. Very analytical. I also think the Christian concept sets people up to lose. Why do we HAVE to be sinners? I have not broken any of the 10 commandments, yet I am a sinner. If I am, it's a very small sin indeed. Since I am no longer a Christian, I cast off my sins and am washed in the purity of truth.

The bible is completely illogical and makes no rational sense (actually, it makes no kind of sense). As a building block for Christianity, it is completely flawed. This causes Christianity to also bear fatal flaws, among them the whole concept of God as omniscient yet providing humans with 'free will' and God as incapable of error yet making a mistake so grievous that the next generation (a son) had to fix it; somehow God was not strong enough (although omnipotent) to fix it by himself.
With all of these circular, unresolved references, the whole bag of nuts is worthless before you even get to the trinity or transubstantiation concepts.
I can't say that I've never done anything bad. However, I saw my little daughter from birth onward, and even though she's 25 years old now, I can safely say that she has never so much as harmed a hair on the head of a spider (she picks them up carefully and puts them outside). She became a vegan as soon as she was old enough to go on her own, and brings nothing but sweetness and light to everyone. This girl has never been punished in any way for anything, never spanked and never had any complaints from anybody. So I ask you--is she Jesus, or is 'sin' simply a primitive concept used to keep people in line?

My popular contradictory assertion out of the mouth of Jesus is Luke 14:26. supply it a seem. ok, you're meant to settle for issues on faith. That some books left issues out that others coated. so a ways as Ahazia is going, ask a Rabbi, by way of fact the OT would not even come on the brink of the Torah. Interfaith conversations are accepted, you understand. And there are a number of Rabbis who're extra suitable than happy to describe issues to you. Now, in case you do not sense genuine approximately being shown, do not do it. once you're having a disaster of religion, in simple terms relax for a mutually as and confirm in case you do have a calling to that faith. or perhaps any faith. I hate to apply the term save around, yet examine up on different religions, too. And Michelle honey, Ahazia became an previous testomony king. seem up the verses suggested above and you will see his call.

It's good that you wish to try to figure this philosophical dilemma out. It's good for the mind to question what you hear and try to figure things out on your own.
Unfortunately, you won't get any help from the Christians. They will just quote Biblical scripture at you and won't actually engage with you in philosophical argument. They hate it because if they had to answer your questions without the use of the bible, they wouldn't have an answer or anywhere to start. See, they haven't thought about the issue independent of the words in the bible.

When it comes to sin you always have a choice. It's true, that because of Original Sin we're in a weakened state (and almost pre-disposed to sin), but we really *know* better when we sin.
Just as the first man (Adam) sinned and we are born to his legacy, we are called to the new man, the new Adam--Christ and to fight temptation (like He did in the desert). But it's ok if we fail/fumble because through forgiveness we can always start over. Peace. ^_^

Awesome Question its because its all rubbish and they really had no comeback to that Question did they? they couldnt exactly copy a genesis out of the bible for that one haha they had to actually think for them selves and use there own thoughts i like this phrase:
Those Who cannot attack the thought, instead attack the thinker'
Must of been hard for them.I think that free will isn't all that spectacular but Imagination is more powerful then Free will.Think about that a bit deeper "Imagination" well anyway thats all for me.

I prefer logical minds like you are demonstrating here .i will give you two dimensions .
"for all have sinned and came short of the glory of God" an indication that even at birth because we are born of sinners we are already tainted yet still have a chance or choice to redeem ourselves that is not to make ourselves sin free but simply to reach the threshold that God himself considers acceptable . we all do not know which is the threshold except that by establishing a relationship with him we get guidance a reference point.
God knows you will sin at a certain point , why because another force equal to him called satan or devil is also working on you and it is again your choice to listen to the two voices that speak to you and determine your choice , that of the holy spirit that is always with you and that of satan that is always with you as well.
learn to listen to these conflicting messages .I would like to give you a modern interpretation of the last days of jesus Christ in the desert as an indicator that satan messages are everchanging and appeals to human need to continuously change .
jesus had spent a fortnight in the wildness without access to food and water but simply praying , talking to himself and to unknown messages and voices one called the satan voice and the holyspirit . he was led to the cliff offered the world etc.if you are a learned science student i would tell you that Jesus was suffering from Extreme dehydration and hypoglycemia and thus producing lots of lactic acid and since the brain requires glucose to fuction he was in fact having hallucinations and potentially life threating , had he only gone three days more he might have died . all the symptoms he was exhibiting are synonimous to lack of water and glucose levels and thus all he was talking and saying were self made maniac disturbance . Infact he could see sound , hear colours and smell taste.
Now which voice is talking to you . if not in support of my theory i would call that in modern terms " you are in denial " .It is amazing how our sins and points of view have been diluted and my only way out of this is simple to believe that there is a Supernatural force out there whose access was only indicated by the bible on earth and for as long as my questions has not been answered by scientist i will believe in him.
The Question is Can living things come from nonliving things no matter how many trillions of years we have to wait ?
since a gene is the basis of all cell products and structure it should have been the first one to have been made , how did it think of ribosomes , Messenger RNA , respiration mechanisms etc .?

That's Christianity for you.You have to feel the Shame and take on the sins of those that came before you and the fear of punishment from the Ultimate Father . two words about that idea.
Free will gives you two or more paths to follow in any situation . which you choose is up to you as long as your willing to take it upon your self the results of your choice. If you See that you have chosen poorly then you have a chance to change your path. And hope it is a better path .
Free will always gives you choices of paths to follow it is up to you to choose which one.
frighting thought isn't it . can lead to fear of making any choices and freeze you in one spot uncertain of which way to go .
Follow your small quiet voice which is your soul that Facet of God that makes you you.

just the tip of the iceberg ! drop the fantasies and u can think in peace . specious arguements are nothing new! I especially like the ones based on life after death that no-one has any evidence of since we actually die! You can hide anything behind that excuse .... oh have faith . Why ? Where's god ? Invisible!
Give me a break!

You can live a life without sin, Christ himself proved that.
You are not attempting to read what is stated by the Bible itself. Read the Bible if you wish to fully understand what it says about forgiveness, mercy, and grace.
If all other answers are insufficient, why not go to the source, the Bible itself?
I offered to help you enlighten yourself, but you have rejected my offer because, for some off reason, you wish to remain ignorant. That is you and not me.
