Yes you can. It's hand luggage where there is a restriction.

My wife recently had no problems going through heathrow with all of the things you mentioned in her case. You just need to make sure they go into bagage that is being checked in and not in your hand luggage.

Is it any wonder people are confused with all the misinformation going around, especially on this site...

You have hit the nail on the head. You can take liquids in your suitcase that you check in to be carried in the hold. I think that you may be allowed liquids in your hand luggage too now apart from on flights to USA however its better to be safe than sorry so don't risk it in your hand luggage.

I believe that you can in the hold. I recently (since the problems started) flew into the UK from a european airport with BA and had no problems with bottles in the hold luggage, or indeed a bottle of alcohol purchased air side at the airport. Just check with your airline first. They will be able to give you the definitive answer. enjoy your trip.

Yes, as long as they're not in your hand luggage.

In your hand luggage, the following is prohibited:

Make-up
Aerosol cans
Any liquids (except baby milk)
Sharps
Matches/Lighters

If you have any of these, put them in your main luggage for the flight, otherwise they will be confiscated permanently.

The restrictions are being relaxed but some airlines are more severe than others. Can i suggest going to http://www.baa.co.uk for the latest information.

The info that you receive here may change by the time you fly so its best to get it from the horses mouth. i.e. british airports authority

Enjoy your trip.

Yes you can take liquids in the hold.
You can also take them into the cabin if you buy them after you go through security.
The BAA websites have up-to-date information, as should your airline's website.

About 2 weeks ago they made a new rule that no liquids or electronics it was so lame. But now the rule has been not as strict as they used to be.
