I can tell you what you should NOT bring into that "battle":
1) Hypocrisy
2) Double standard morality
3) Prejudice
4) Hate
5) Bigotry
6) Narrow-mindedness
But I seriously doubt that since most of the people like you would instantly brand a Muslim or the Islamic faith or any God-fearing but non-Christian faith and its followers as satanic and against Christianity. That's the same bull5h!t that was fed during the crusades, the inquisition, the slave trade, the formation of the KKK up to the rape and genocide in Bosnia.
Spare me that....I'm fed up with it.

You are only deceiving yourself if you think you can be a soldier of war AND a Christian. Jesus told his followers that love would be an identifying mark of true Christianity. See John 13:35. You can't beat your "swords into plowshares" if you are using them to kill your fellow man.

As for the Jacobins, their purpose is revolution. As for Bush, his purpose is oil and imperialism and support for the military-industrial machine. There was a good documentary on WWII I saw in high school about how war stimulates a sagging economy. Hmmm..could this be a modern parallel? War is a good distraction from the economic woes of the times.
As for Christianity, you are not required to be a soldier. I thought the message of Jesus was one of peace. 'Blessed are the peacemakers, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.' As for Bush, he believes in 'An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.' What is Christian to you?

your question should be - what am I leaving behind while going for war?

pray that u dont die in that war as a christian...cuz if you do.......then you are screwed..........for God Will take you accountable for making Jesus your GOD who was actully a prophet.
