Is it that difficult for them to understand that it's promiscuity that causes STDs and not the presence of a foreskin. It is their to protect your penis! It just means that it was practiced in the middle east coz they didn't have enough water to bathe daily !
Are they accepting that quran ask you to be promiscuous coz after circumcision they don't need to worry about STds.
It only reduces the chances morons! Why don't you cut off your penis altogether and be 100% sure never to catch STDs!

Have you even finished school marissa? I'm not saying it is not an abrahamic practice! Christians say it's for hygiene. It's only the ignorant muslims that use that excuse to prove divine origin of islam! What is the average IQ in the muslim world 75-80. Thats below some chimps trained in the USA.

Circumcision doesn't prevent std's only using condoms can do that if you are sexually active. There are no benefits to circumcision that regular washing doesn't achieve better and there are quite a few disadvantages to being circumcised.

Circumcision does have benefits. Medical science has discovered that the blood clotting chemical Prothrombin peaks in a newborn on the eighth day and then temporarily loses some blood clotting ability. The safest day to circumcise a baby is therefore the eighth day of his life. If you circumcise him on the 7th or the 9th day he will bleed to death. In about 1500BC God told Abraham to circumcise all babies on the 8th day. The priests would actually violate the sabbath law against doing any kind of activities on the sabbath and go ahead and circumcise a baby on the sabbath if the 8th day fell on the sabbath.
Genesis 17:12--"For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner—those who are not your offspring".
The real question is ....How did the Book of Genesis know that 3600 years ago?
If the Muslims are trying to say that this was in their Koran and therefore the Koran is from God because it has scientific knowledge that was not known until later, that's not going to fly. Whatever Mohammad said about circumcision, he got it from the bible. The jews practiced circumcision 2100 years before he was born.

First of all you're reported for being rude insulting other participants and abusive. Second of all Everything Islam teaches has some logic and scientific meaning like not taking pork and alcohol. Same is with circumcision.
In India for example AIDS is more common in Hindus than in Muslims because Muslims cicumcise and Hindus dont.

you do know Judaism has been doing circumcision for a thousand years longer than that? I mean good greif the kingdom of israel FELL like 2500 years ago... and its been getting done longer than that.
what your not seeming to grasp, is that similar to the outlawing of pork, it has practical benefits that could not have been known by the people at the time the rule was instated.
how many diseases and such back in that time period came from eating animals that happened to not have been kosher (simple: no predators or omnivores, nothing without discrete "meat", and nothing that you could not be certain of its diet having been kosher, in a totally wild state. of course plants don't count... lol)
how back then... say 3000 years ago, would they know that pork was so dangerous?

im not muslim but i think circumcision does lesen the chances of contracting stds.the fore skin traps germs and bacteria that could cause std infection.and believe it or not 1400 years ago stds did exist only they must have been named something else.im a christian lady and we also believe circumcision is the right way to go.youre also much cleaner and believe me a circumcised one looks better than one with a fore skin.so get cutting.
