There are many companies. If you go to the VISA website, for example, one can find a list of the many large banks that issue these cards. In addition, American Express also has student cards. Just remember to compare the fees, APR, and any rewards before you get one.

All major credit card companies have student credit cards specifically designed for the college student (who is unlikely to have any credit history).

They include Citibank, Chase, Discover, Bank of America, just to name a few.

Since you are a student, you should be getting offers soon from these issuers. Get a card, use it wisely, pay your bills on time and build your credit history.

Try a secured credit card...you pay a fee up front and that becomes your credit limit. This is also a good way to establish or repair damaged credit.
