For me, GOD is LOVE.
I grew up with 2 different religions. But I don't really practice any of them. I found I can very well be spiritual without necessarily being religious. It actually allows me to reach even deeper withing myself (free from dogma) and find my own personal relationship with God. I like all religions for what guidelines they give us to strengthen that relationship. But I find that those principles given in religions are principles that we naturally acquire when we truly cultivate Pure Love, as in Divine Love... What I don't like about religions, is when people follow them blindly, look for the meaning of good solely in the scriptures and anywhere else but inside themselves. I also don't like that human beings have used, and still use religions to manipulate and control people...and separate them, to eventually create wars...

hi there! Im simillar to yourself.. I mean i was brought up to go to church and then do my communion and confirmation, which included attending religious instruction classes every week. My parents would take us to mass every sunday as children. But as we became adults it was our choice. I am forever asking people what their beliefs are. Very mixed responces. I dont go to church every week now but i go for easter and xmas and othere important dates. I believe that there is life after death, other wise why are we here, what is our purpose?? im catholic.

You are under the misconception that because you approve of your life, and the direction its going, and because you believe God is some sort of warm fuzzy that is just all gooey cause you kinda like Him, but don't really pay attention to the things He requires...that He is gonna just overlook your life and disregard of all that He commanded and just let you into heaven anyway.
Belief is not enough, nor is being Catholic. You are far from Him, and your statement is proof. I'm sorry for you.

i do believe in God. however, i don't believe a person will have a relationship with God if he doesnt go to church. church is where we will grow in God so we have to attend services.

To me, a myth for people who feel that there needs to be meaning to life or to the universe, or that there needs to be justice and fairness despite everything in the universe saying that life just isn't fair.
