If there are no prophets today and there are no teachers, who then can accurately interpret the Bible. People who go to school to learn the will of God. No, they are taught man's precepts of the Holy Bible. If men teach men's doctrine who can properly teach the Scriptures. No one.
Thus the Need of Prophets is undeniable, the need of Apostles is undeniable, the need of Teachers is undeniable. A true prophet will expound the scriptures not has he sees them but as God reveals to him. Thus he is teaching God's word. That is something they don't teach you when you go to school to become a preacher.

No, prophet to the ancient Hebrews would have been a very specific thing. THere are a certain number of Prophets and they are all documented throughout the Old Testament history. Teachers, on the other hand, is a much more vague term. Their were many teachers back then and many teachers now.
If you really want to know about Prophets I would speak to an Old Testament Scholar or a devout Jew.

There are teachers .. in Islam we believe what our prophet said that every 100 years Allah will make some people renew Islam..renewing doesn't mean something new but returning people back to the real Islam..I found it real in the history as when the Muslims go far away a new Imam with new school rises and takes Muslims back to Islam like: Muhammad Abdu, Muhammad Ibn Abdel Wahab, Al Sha'rawy, Ibn Hazm and many others in the Islamic history.
I think that Christians have the same meaning too.

Only if all teachers always teach the truth.
There is a big difference in a teacher and a prophet.
At least I hope there is!

A prophet speaks directly for God....a teacher simply instructs in what he has learned. So your question is not really founded on a coherent idea.

The role of a teachers or priest is to *interpret* the visions of the prophets.
They don't always have those visions. They are only interpreters.
