Kids today r left to wander the streets late into the night, I have a saying 'theres no such thing as naughty kids, only naughty parents, does anyone agree. What should be done with these ferral kids?

back in high school i use to roam the streets with my buddys and no we were not naughty, yes our parents knew, ur stereotyping, which is wrong.

A few years back, I'd cycle off to work at 9:30 pm and there were kids out playing in the street on bikes (without lights etc), skateboards and so on, and who were of an age I would consider they out not to not only be 'at home,' but some were so young they ought (in my estimation) be asleep at that time of the (late) evening.
Like you, I wondered as to where were the brains of the parents of these children.

I think some parents genuinely don't give a fook!!!
I hate seeing small children taking themselves to school or going to the shop................how can a parent be sure the kid ever gets to school safely.......they wouldn't know till 6 hours later when they don't return home!!
As for being out late and roaming far from home........you wonder how these kids don't get taken away or something...thing is it seems it's the parents who are protective over the kids are the ones who's kids get taken away!!!
( not that you want this to happen to any kid )
Parents throw these kids out cos they can't be arsed looking after them!!

I like to have my children in by 6ish then i know where they are and that they are safe, but they then complain that others younger than them are out still. What is wrong with spending quality time with your kids instead of out till 9 or later it puts them in a bad routine, late to bed then late up or tired for school. Parents are the main reason why kids stay out all hours. thats my opinion anyway

The parents should make sure that their children are in at a decent time. If they dont then there should be police officers on the beat to take the children home and give their parents a telling off.
A lot of parents dont seem to care where their child is as long as they are not bothering them then if something happens its everyone else's fault.

I must agree....... but i dont know what the answer is.... American has just turned their backs on our kids.... the kids are growing up with no parents....... it is such a shame too.... dont these parents realize that kids will be running this country some day.... we will be OLD and have to depend on them for our care.... I for one am scared to even think what shape the country will be in in about 20 yrs.......... think about it ppl !!! trophies are being raises instead of kids........ God bless

Yes there are kids who roam around late and having no limits is not good. I was given progressively later times as I got older. However there is also the danger of the opposite. Many parents are so frightened nowadays of letting their kids out that they lose their freedom and become more vulnerable because they are not streetwise.

Their parents are at home, thinking that whilst their children are out, they are being good little citizens!!
The parent's that don't care about their kids, are irresponsible. In this country now, children have 'too many rights'. When i was a kid you did as you were told, or else?

well i don't know how to gelp after they get past a certain age i think starting young is the best thing ... i was wondering the same thing today most kids are fearless these days i'd be afraid to walk the streets at night... some kids have been doing it for so long when parents finally try to pull the reins kids don't listen ... and ther are actually parents who don't care... and some parents are to liberal with wat they allow there kids to do .... kids aren't really dicisplend these days so there not afraid tobreak the rules

kids are just more disrespectful in general..did u ever watch that show parent control where the parents fix their kid up on a date with new person while their kids present girlfriend boyfriend watches ..these kids are swearing at the parents..talk of sexual things right in front of their boyf ..girlf parents..are rude crude...i couldnt believe what i was seeing..my kids are home..i dunno..people dont care.. the kids dont care ..watch that show and see how down hill society has gotten..thanks guys for taking the Bible out of schools its done wonders..but it so bad now even that wouldnt help..i guess just pray and tell the police to set up a curfew...

yes I am a naughty mum, I am watching eastenders while my ferral kids are roaming the streets- its the only peace I get.
