You can not -- and will not -- stop smoking until you have decided that that is what you are going to do.

I am a hypnotherapist, and the research that I am aware of indicates that hypnotherapy is the most effective way of helping people to break their smoking addictions -- but only for those people who have made the commitment to stop.

But I think that the process can be made physiologically easier by using nicotine patches or gums as well -- gradually decreasing the amounts used.

Also, it helps to remove cigarettes and anything that reminds you of them from your personal environment.

Keep yourself occupied doing other things such a sport, reading, etc.

Do not spend time with people who are smokers, or in places where people smoke untill you have broken the habit.

Ask the people you work, live, or recreate with to help you. They might offer you encouragement, and help make sure there are no cigarettes around you that might tempt you in a moment of weakness.

Some governments also have quit lines where you may receive telephone support.

Wow! Nothing to my knowledge. I quit in July. Still quit, though I've had a couple slips. NOT easy. Here's my best advice:
-Just quit. Don't monkey with "helpers", in my opinion they only drag out the actual addiction.
-Try to be aware of what is the addiction and what is you. I went through crazy mood swings for the first two weeks. It was the addiction trying to hit the trigger points that usually made me smoke.
-Remember that it is an addiction: Do you really want an outside chemical substance dictating what bar you go to, restaurant you dine at, the schedule for your social outings, etc?
-And finally, the one that helped me the most: think about the money. I'm saving almost $125 per month not smoking. That is a phone bill, cell phone bill, summer power bill, and a tank of gas every month, all by not smoking.

Hope something there helps. And Good Luck! If you really want to quit, you can definately do this!

Its not just the nicotine. Its also the other 50+ chemicals they out in cigarettes. Also the main problem is habit.
We have been used to having body sensations which we translate as 'my body needs something, which we have attempted to satisfy by having a cigarette.
When we try to stop smoking, we still get these 'my body needs something' sensations, and we still feel that we want a cigarette. We have to train our body to be more selective. When we feel we need something, we have to work out what it is that we actually need.
A glass of water is an excellent substitute if nothing else comes to mind, as it helps with the clearance of the toxic substances in our body. Another good substitute is a bag of salted peanuts, used in combination with the water.
Another thing to do is to find an activity which occupies the mind or body. Go swimming - nobody wants to smoke while they are swimming. Slowly, as our body adjusts and translates the 'want something' feelings into something other than cigarettes, then the feelings begin to go away. We know its not a cigarette that the body really needs, because as soon as we've had one we still have the feeling, and want another!

Theres no easy way but there is help like patches & nicotine gum.
I hear that the first 2 weeks are the most hardest so if you can go through 2 weeks without it then you can quit all together. I say forget the patches & chewing gum, just stop. Using the patches & stuff keeps your mind on the smoking dont u think.

o, you can also go for hypnosis treatments. I hear that works very well

Well, it's not easy! You just have to find what works best for you. There are several options.

1. The patch
2. The pill
3. Cold Turkey
4. Laser Surgery
5. Herbal Medicine
6. Gum
7. Hypnosis

There is no easy way to go about it. Ignore every non smoker that tells you it's all about will power. I know from personal experience that it's so much more than that. Just be strong, and do what's best for you. Good luck, and be strong!

Sorry to say, there is probably not one easy way to quit smoking. Lots of will power and determination. There are many products out there to help you quit, such as the patch, the nicotine gum, medications your doctor can prescribe. You can try hypnosis if that would help. But what it really boils down to, after talking to several people who quit sucessfully, is just sheer will power. The desire to do it for yourself and your health. Me, I have tried several times and never succeeded. Maybe one day.

Basically, if you've ever been thinking about using hypnosis in order to control the end result of discussions to your gain, then you'll probably have an interest in what is being taught in Black Ops Hypnosis, an on line plan you will find here https://tr.im/dQcNA .
The program, Black Ops Hypnosis consists in 3 major patterns. The methods from Black Ops Hypnosis are very useful and perform effectively in reality.
Black Ops Hypnosis is one of the most used hidden and audio hypnosis items and it's bought well to the 1000s of copies worldwide.

Don't think anything is easy but Allen Carr's book Give up smoking has worked for some people I know that had already tried other methods that had failed. Also if you do quit and it lasts a while never think "I'll just have one'

This method works for me and is the only money back guaranteed.
I quit smoking 2 years ago

Get the Facts
Easyway, founded by Allen Carr in 1983, has the highest independently verified 12-month success rate (75.8% for a smoker completing the program) of any quit smoking technique and a 90% satisfaction rating.

Compare Easyway to other methods and see for yourself why Easyway is called “The Cadillac of quit smoking methods.”

The Allen Carr Method
HOW THE METHOD WORKS

Using psychotherapy, the method works in the opposite way to the “willpower” method. It does not concentrate on the reasons the smoker should not smoke : the money, the slavery, the health risks and the stigma. Smokers know all that already. Instead it focuses on why smokers continue to smoke in spite of the obvious disadvantages.

It is fear that keeps smokers hooked!

Fear the smoker will have to give up their pleasure or crutch. Fear the smoker will be unable to enjoy life or handle stress. Fear the smoker will have to go through an awful trauma to get free. Fear the smoker will never get completely free from the craving.

The Method removes these fears
Smokers quit with the Allen Carr Method as happy non-smokers, not feeling deprived but with a huge sense of relief and elation that they have finally achieved what they always wanted….

TO BE FREE!

What about the terrible withdrawal pangs from nicotine?

The physical withdrawal from nicotine is so slight that most smokers don’t realise that they are addicts. What smokers suffer when they try and quit using other methods is the misery and depression caused by the belief that they are being deprived of a pleasure or a crutch.

The Allen Carr Method removes this feeling of deprivation.
It removes the need and desire to smoke. Once the smoker is in the right frame of mind and they follow the simple instructions, the physical withdrawal from nicotine is hardly noticeable.

No Gimmicks!

The Method does not use any gimmicks, useless aids or substitutes. No nicotine gum, patches, lozenges, tabs, inhilators or nasal sprays! No needles! No lasers! No drugs! No herbs! No shock treatment!

The Allen Carr Method is successful because:

It removes the smokers’ conflict of will.
There are no bad withdrawal pangs.
It is instantaneous and easy.
It is equally effective for long-term heavy smokers and light smokers.
You need not gain weight.
You will not miss smoking.

Medical Endorsements

A personal view from Professor Judith Mackay MBE, JP, FRCO (Edin), FRCP (Lon), World Health Organisation Advisory Panel on Tobacco and Health

“I have no hesitation in supporting Allen Carr’s work. Many clinics use some of his techniques but it would appear that few do it in quite such a successful package.”

Carole Johnson, Coronary Heart Disease Prevention Unit, Tyne Tees

“his success rate was such that, when budgets allow, we continue to use Easyway for work with specific groups and individuals.”

Dr Anil Visa BSc, MBBch., FRCA, Consultant – Royal Hospitals NHS Trust – Royal London Hospital

“I have observed the Allen Carr method at first hand and have found it to be very successful and I wholeheartedly support it as an effective way to quit smoking.”

Dr William Green, Head of Psychiatric Dept, Matilda Hospital, Hong Kong

“It is a remarkable fact that Allen Carr, on his own admission a non-professional in behaviour modification, should have succeeded where countless psychologists and psychiatrists holding postgraduate qualifications have failed, in formulating a simple and effective way to stop smoking.”

Dr Martin Jarvis, Principle Scientist, Imperial Cancer Research
Fund and Reader in Health Psychology, University College London

”...I am more than happy to testify to Allen Carr’s enduring involvement and to recognise the value of the kind of behavioural and cognitive support he provides.”

Dr PM Bray MB CH.b., MRCGP

“I was really impressed by the method. In spite of the Allen Carr organisation’s success and fame, there were no gimmicks and the professional approach was something a GP could readily respect. I would be happy to give a medical endorsement of the method to anyone.”

Celebrity Endorsements

"His method is absolutely unique, removing the dependence on cigarettes, while you are actually smoking. I’m pleased to say it has worked for many of my friends and staff.”
Sir Richard Branson

“Some friends of mine who had stopped using Allen Carr’s method suggested I tried it. I did. It was such a revelation that instantly I was freed from my addiction. Like those friends of mine, I found it not only easy but unbelievably enjoyable to stay stopped.”
Sir Anthony Hopkins

GOOD LUCK

i gave up a couple of years ago, as easy as easy will come when it comes to smoking..using the nicorette inhaher, it helped with the habit of having that hand to mouth repitition...i ended up having the inhaler pipe in my mouth/hand nearly all day, but in the end it worked, and now my boyfriend is giving up a bigger habit than i had and is using the inhalers and is doing really well. He has tried to give up so many times before but it hasnt worked until now so...
But then again u have to be ready to give them up yourself, it wont work if ure being nagged by a loved one to give them up!
There also great homeopathic remedies out there for helping with cravings so definatly check that out.
