According to the Myth god placed cherubs at the gates, and this means the garden had a wall around it. Why does the word “prison” suddenly come to mind? No wonder E&A were all over that tree.

You don't believe that the Adam and Eve story is true, do you? It sounds like you are questioning it at least. Good for you!

It's simple, God did what he did because he can, just like any other things that happens in this world, good or bad.
Human mind just cannot comprehend why God did what he did, children dying on 1 side of the world, people having feast on other side of the world. There's no justification as to why God allow anything to happen. They happen because He can make it happen. Selfish? More like psycho.

Let me get into how that came about; Satan was once the archangel Lucifer who lived in heaven with the God the Father and his son; To hear it tell he sung EIGHT(no lie)octaves and was the Minister of Music in heaven; as they say though pride cometh before the fall because Lucifer wanted him a more prominent space with God and had 1/3 of the angels in agreement with him; he was after a time, kicked out of heaven unto earth; Now on our way onto this story. By the time Lucifer was kicked out, he became Satan and in the form of a serpent tempted Eve. God created Man but he wanted man to know that he was God but not by coersion, so that is how we have freedom of choice. God already told Adam and Eve where and where not to be as you can see In Genesis, but Eve wandered off and that was how the devil got her.

God allowed Satan to be there so that Adam and Eve had that temptation which allowed for freewill and the choice to obey or disobey God. The state of Eden and everything in it beside for the serpent would have been perfect methinks.

Yeah, I wondered that too, but since the evil one is portrayed as a snake in the story, he probably sneaked in. God, after all, had a soft-spot for the guy at one time.
And so, the drama begins....

satan is not the serpent. it is nowhere mentioned in genesis that the serpent = satan. why would G-d put enmity between humans and snakes as a result of this action (as it says in genesis) if it was actually satan who was the tempter, and not a serpent? thats just dumb.
