you never mentioned the breed or sex. keep in mind that names with 2 or 3 syllables are better for dogs as they understand it well & it becomes easier on them to recognise.

google "pet names" and you'll get a bunch of databases with pet names. Have fun. I like human names. My three dogs are named, Benson, Murphy and Edgar. A lot of people get a big smile when they hear me calling them by their names. If I find room for another one, I'll name it Mike or Brian or something like that.

Sam. Therefore you can call him Sammy when he's young, or Sam Sam, or Mr Sammy or Samo. We call my puppy all of those names. He seems to like it!
