The best way to plan a wedding is to keep it simple. If you don't want to spend a lot of money or if you don't want a lot of people in your wedding party then keep it small. I got married 3 months ago and my wedding was simple. We decided to have just a maitron of honor, best man, flower girl and a ring bearer. The wedding was small and simple and less stressful. There are several websites that can help you prepare for the big day. One of them is weddingchannel.com.

i am in the same process i would recommend if you can afford it hire a planner some offer different levels of services full planning/partial day of coordinator etc. if it is out of your budget purchase a really good wedding planner guide i found one at chapters for about 40.00 cdn and its been great it gives you things to think of that you may have forgotten. Book your venues first everything will come into play after that . best of luck

I am using a great site to prepare for my wedding. Go here http://www.weddingsolutions.com its great it has a checklist of things you have to do and a seating plan and you can even create a free website for your wedding information.

So far I have been very happy with it.

Close your eyes and try to picture your special day. What do you care the most about? Is is the food, the music, etc? What details are you unwillingly to compromise on? Stick to these few details and be open to ideas on everything else. Have fun and take your time. The worst thing is a stressed out bride. Remember that it is your (and your fiancee's) special day. You should make sure that you have fun and get the things you really want. Sit down make a budget and talk with your fiancee about what you both want. REMEMBER HAVE FUN!!!

Use the KISS formula: Keep It Simple Sweetheart
Give your guests a good view, hot food, some cake, a little champagne. It's a right of passage, not a royal investiture.
Happy wedding to you.

Well first thing first is budget. I suggest using some of the websites that are available. I just helped my best friend with hers and it was a blast. http://www.theknot.com/ and of course go to yahoo search and type in wedding planning. We really enjoyed the theknot. Congratulations!!
