Try Aveeno moisturizing lotion. It was recommended by my dermatologist, and I love it; it really makes a difference. You can find it in many supermarkets and pharmacies. If it doesn't help, maybe you should see a skin specialist. Good luck!

Hiya
I also have dry skin and it can sometimes be sensitive to certain products.
Always use a milky cleanser that contains rose oils, chamomiles, any soothing product that will help put moisture back into the skin without harsh cleansing. Stay away from cleansers that containe alcohol such as clinique, this will unbalance the PH level of the skin and can cause a burning sensation when using it.
Remove your cleanser with a toner that is mainly water based with natural ingredients, stay away from tea tree oil and witch hazel as this is for oily skin. Use a rose based one, or lavender is great for sensitive skin.
Use a moisturizer for dry skin, they are usually thicker in consistency and say on the label. Use a different moisturizer at night, this is very important as this is when the skin has a chance to repair its self whilst you sleep.
You should give your skin 10 days or so to adjust to a new skincare routine, and you should notice a difference.
Hope this helps. This is the advice i would give to my clients! i am a qualified beautician.
Thanks, Hayley

I have super dry lizard skin and have tried jusut about everything out there. Suprisingly I've found that Olay Quench lotion works the best. And in the winter when my skins really dry I use the in shower Olay lotion and then when I get out put on the Quench lotion too. Its a pain sometimes to always have to put lotion on but its worth a few minutes a day for the results.

Firstly, drink lots of water. Supplement with fish and flaxseed oil. In the Winter my skin gets very dry. If I were you I would use only natural moisturizers. The fact that your face gets red might possibly indicate that you are senstitive to harsh chemicals. Two excellent moisturizers are sesame oil or olive oil. These oils can be bought & used on their own or you can find products that contain them. Some brands that I particularly like are Avalon Organics, DHC, Kiss My Face, Jason and Burt's Bees. And instead of washing your face with tap water try using filtered or bottled water. Good luck!

Arbonne Body Lotion is a great way to treat skin such as this.
It's a rich, non-greasy lotion that hydrates and protects skin and is easily absorbed. Its advanced delivery system allows key ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin for maximum hydration.

Put canola or vegetable oil in your bath water. The kind used for cooking. Just a couple of cap-fulls will make a BIG difference. My dermatologist suggested it for me. I have very dry skin on my body. Ounce for ounce, it's a lot cheaper than using baby oil too!

Skin-so-soft by Avon is good for all over. If it is your feet, I use Vaseline, rub lots of it into your feet, then put some white socks on and sleep in them all night. You could do this every night for 3 nights then 2-3 times a week for a few weeks.

Don't use soap on your face, or any where you have dry skin, wash your face with sorbolene lotion or cream you can get it from the supermarket. It really works.
