No, sex is a huge source of stress for dogs. If you've ever seen him around a ***** on heat, you'd realise what I mean, and when there aren't any bitches around, he's not thinking about it.

You should have him neutered. It reduces territorial behaviour like marking (peeing on everything in sight so other dogs stay away), he'll be a lot calmer without the hormones, and it pretty much removes the possibility of testicular cancer, a pretty common killer of unneutered male dogs.

Hi,
If you are not planning to get your dog mated, why don't you get him neutered.
Neutering is a very small surgery with which your dogs vet will remove his testicles. Neutering has a lot of benifits too. Your dog will get more calmer and will not run around bitches in heat. It will also stop him from mounting onto poles and people which can be embarrassing at times..
Neutering has heath benifits too. It prevnts the dog from testicular cancers.
Try n do wats best for your pal!!

In wild canine packs only the alpha pair breed (have sex) the rest just cruse along without. If this was so super important to them they could move on & be alpha in their own pack and most dont therfore clearly canines do NOT consider sex the reason for existance.

The sex senses of the dog are triggered when he smells the female in heat, normally dogs do not get excited. At times though they do try and mount the leg of human and have to be discouraged immediately (especially in case of bigger dogs, it becomes embarrassing). Dogs never sexed behave normally but once sexed tend to get the itch to roam freely. You can also get it operated, but dogs tend to gain weight.

Lack of sex is not a problem for the dog. He will live fine without it.
