Is there a need for boyfriendXgirlfriend relationships? So you've gone through all that crap to get a girlfriend. Now what? You got her so you could watch movies and hug the heck out of each other through the whole thing? Status? Free clean sex? Fun?

Of course, if you answered "free clean sex", then it's not a pointless relationship. It has a purpose. But the "hug-a-pillow" kind of relationship, the cute huggy kissy kind. What?

by your same logic all relationships are pointless unless there is sex involved...

i mean usually sex is a big part of a relationship but i dont think its necesarily the "point"...im not really sure a relationship needs a point...you have kind of a strange outlook on things this question comes across as really jaded...
