The other day my husband and I were suppossed to meet his parents and his aunt for breakfast. Well, we overslept and only have a half hour to get ourselves and the baby ready to go. My hair is oily and looks really dirty if I don't wash it, so I jumped in the shower. We were on time but my hair was still really wet. Is it better to go with dirty hair or wet hair?

You did the right thing. I'm no Emily Post or anything, but I think it is way more acceptable to go with wet hair than greasy hair, especially when you are meeting for a meal!

Etiquette would expect you to be (1) on time, which you were and (2) clean, which you were.

In the best case, you would have had dry hair, but wet hair is prefereable to dirty hair. It is possible everyone thought it was a new style or product anyway.

Wet hair, at least you did try to look nice.
I show up for work occasionally with the ponytail of my hair still wet, nobody has said anything, yet. The front part usually dries in the car on the way.
Your husband's family shoul dhave been understanding, it is difficult to manage time with a baby to consider.

Better with the wet hair, it will dry. Oily hair just keeps looking bad. Unless I have my hair buzzed off it gets real oily unless I wash it daily, so I have gone out with it wet rather than let it stay oily.

You did well in going with wet hair! Imagine going to your in-laws' place looking dirty!!! You would be the talk of all parties to come!! Worse is that no excuse would be considered good enough!

Wet hair for me! Anyway wet hair will dry sooner or later. And I wouldn't care if it's past midnight (some of my friends believe washing hair after midnight is bad for health)!

I would rather go with clean and wet hair than dirty greasy hair that looks terrible.
I wouldn't panic too much about it I'm sure your husbands parents didn't even notice!

I guess it depends upon how up-tight the people you are meeting are! I would certainly opt to present myself with clean wet hair rather than oily locks!! Of course common courtesy warrants a call to alert the person or persons if you are to be delayed!

No, I think with wet hair is better, this shows that u're a caring person and u care to look good in front of ur family and husband, I think being clean and tidy shows that u care..
