I wouldn't go days.....maybe slice off what you need and let that sit out for a little while. Land O'Lakes makes a spreadable butter that you can keep in the fridge...

If the temperature is comfortable (not hot) and the butter is covered a day wouldn't hurt then place in the fridge just to be safe.

yea i think so ... or just put it out about 30 min before you know your going yo use it and it should be spreadable ... but know i think there puting olive oil in butter to make it more spreadable

Absolutely! It is a myth that butter goes bad if you leave it out. But I would recommend you cover it.

Like the other girl said, my mother always has also for years and no one's gotten sick. So i thinks its alright.
