which one is more painful? cost difference? how long does it last? think for a girl.

I haven't got my lip tattooed, but I do have 2 others and would think the lip would hurt more. I have a pretty high pain threshold but when I bite my lip it makes my eyes water, and my tats didn't do that. Depends on how big you want your ankle tat for a price comparison, but I would imagine that some places wouldn't do the lip at all (some places have a policy about tattooing the neck, face and hands). Your ankle tattoo will last forever as long as you put sunscreen on it before you go outside, and I've heard that the mouth heals very quickly, so it maight fade, but again I don't know.
If it were me, I'd want a nice detailed ankle tattoo rather than a blurry small lip one, but thats only my opinion. Good luck.

Inner lip? As in inside your mouth? Because if thats the lip you are talking about, don't do it. You will taste ink for a day or so, lots of bleeding and it fades to nonexistant after a while, I did it and it was stupid. I would say ankle, its cute and common, but still able to be hidden if need be.
Cost depends on where you go, who you see, how many colors, how large of a design and location. Pain just depends on the person getting the tattoo. Some places are more painful on the body and some people are just more sensitve. Ankles aren't bad. Tattoos are permanent, silly.

If you decide to go with an inner lip tat (for either location) you will have to be deligent with the cleaning of the area. Those places could be more prone to bacteria than the Ankle. So you should really think before you go with that type of tat.
As for the Ankle hey if you do decide to go with this location do your own thing. To reduce the risk of pain you could have the Tat placed above the Bone area of the ankle. Any tattoo that is placed on a bone hurts more than in an area where there is muscle/fat. Good Luck & I hope this helps.

The inner lip tends to fade faster. The pain factor all depends on you and your pain tolerance. The cost differs from shop to shop..artist to artist, etc. Ankle should last forever if you take care of it... lip... my only experience is my husbands tattoo there... he got one a few months ago and its starting to fade already.

Inner lip??? wow. I've seen those, but never quite understood the point & purpose. Anyway, i think the ankle tatoo is really really sexy depending on what u get. I have a set of cherries dripping chocolate with my name going thru it on my left ankle and it drives my significant other crazy :-)

well I have had a few tattoos, but never on those places... I would say the inner lip would be more painful for sure... for the price it depends on how big you want it.... they may ask for money for the inner lip because it is such a weird place.... if i were you I would go to a tattoo shop and ask them these questions so yo uknow for sure!

OKAY, YOUR INNER LIP WILL FADE MUCH FASTER AND YOU WILL HAVE TO KEEP GETTING IT DONE, PAIN WISE I WOULD SAY ITS ABOUT EVEN BUT ON YOUR ANKLE AT LEAST PEOPLE CAN SEE IT.
