Maybe girls love who their mom loves, and boys love who their dad loves?
It's the same in our house though. It's like a mini version of my husband maybe and that's really cute. My son is cuddly and perhaps it is the parents that are pushing the stereotype.

I think sons + daughters generally love their mother more than father, one reason is that their mother spends more time with them than their father.
You know that there are a lot of songs that thanks mom (i.e, "Oh mother", by Christina Aguilera), but there are rarely one that thanks father...
That's the way it is...

*rolls eyes* ya know thats not always true I can't stand my bio dad I dispise him I'm WAAAAAY more close with my mother and to tell ya the truth I love her more but so ya know it's not always that they love that parent best it's just well idk they can get along better with them.
