My fiancee is a 6 year smoker and has been trying to quit for me, but he can't. He says it's because he likes to smoke, so I try not to bug him about it.
just recently he started smoking pure, untainted tabacco, the stuff without all the chemicals and amonia.

My question is, is pure tabacco and smoking huka less damaging / harmful to the lungs and health or is it the same as the gross, name brand chemical cigarettes?
Is pure tabacco better in a way?

also, the stuff that he smokes now is the bulk stuff that you have to wrap yourself in those filter / papyrus type paper you'd buy at a real tabacco store...

Well, as smoker I must register an interest here but smoking natural tobacco does less damaging. It does not contain the likes of fibre-glass (Marlboro) or Sulpur (Camel). However, nicotine is the most addictive narcostic known and it's to a ceryain extent a matter of genetics. JIm Fixx was the man who invented jogging but died from a heart attack at 56 while Mdme. Jeanne Calment smoked for 110 years and died at 129. Go figure.

Tobacco is still tobacco, addictive and harmful to the body. Perhaps he can discuss a plan with his physician to quit smoking entirely not only for himself but for the future you both have ahead of you.

Smoking is smoking, if he has not quit within a couple of weeks, chances r he will not. Why? He is paying the taxes for his habit and it is addicting.

inhaling smoke is inhaling smoke. Yes, less chemicals is good...but it doesn't take away the fact that he is doing an unhealthy thing.
